Assembly Script

Scene 1:
(Father and Mother enter from the left.)
Father: Son!
(Son enters from the right.)
Father: Why have you not done your chores?
Mother: I reminded you, and you still haven’t done them.
Son: I don’t want to! Because I am not getting paid for the work I do around the
house, but my friends get paid! It is not fair for me not to be paid for the work I do.
Father: How dare you talk to your parents like that!
(Hits him)
Son: I hate this family! I want to leave right now!
(Son exits the scene on the right)

Scene 2
(Son enters the classroom. It is madness, and
4 people are bullying a kid harshly.)
Son: What happened? Why are you bullying him?
Student 1: He reminded the math teacher that our biology teacher is absent.
Student 2: You know her classes are boring!
Student 3: And she could ask for our notebooks for correction
Student 4: Oh no! I did not complete my classwork
Son: I agree because studies are more important than fun.
Student 1: You are way worse than this guy
Student 2: Come on, then, we will bully this guy.
(Gets beaten)

Son: Why did I even argue? First, I got beatings from my parents and now these
people. (sighs) What to do?

Scene 3
(Son goes to the function with family)

Father: How are you, man?

Uncle: I am good. What about you?
Aunt1: How is your son studying?
Mother: Him? He is just a disgrace.
Aunt 2: Hey! Don’t say that. After all, he is your son, right?
Mother: He is good for nothing.
Aunt 3: Hello, everyone.
Mother: Hi! How much did your son get?
Aunt 3: He got full marks in every subject.
Mother: I wish my son were like that. He also made a little bit of money
Son: I got 40/40 in English.
Mother: You don’t consider English a subject. Why can’t you be like your cousin? He
scored perfect marks and made money at the age of 16.
Cousin: Hey, come, we’ll have fun.
Son: Sure.
Cousin: So I am the captain of my school football team, and I scored a lot of goals. I
also made some money. I want to become a doctor…….
( Son zones out and looks at the dance at the function)

Cousin: What about you?

Son: Huh? Oh… I haven’t really thought about it.
Father: Come on, son, we’re leaving.
Son: Alright, coming!
Son (to cousin): Anyway, see you later.
Cousin: Yeah, bye!
Son: Bye!

Scene 4
(Two boys are arguing in the field.)
Student 5: Hey! Why did you steal my scale?
Son: I didn’t do it!
Student 5: My scale went missing, and someone told me you took it.
Son: Well, that person is wrong cause I didn’t take anything.
Student 6: Ok, guys, come on. Let's play. We’re wasting precious minutes.
Student 5: Fine! We’ll talk about this later.
Son: OK, let’s play
(Children are dribbling the ball, and Student 5 kicks Son.)
Son: What was that for? You were trying to kick me.
Student 5: I was only aiming for the ball, and my foot slipped.
Son: You’re lying.
( The next day)
Student 5: I am very sorry for what happened yesterday. I went home and found my
scale in my bag. I hope you can forgive me for what happened.
Son: I do forgive you, and I hope we can be friends.
Student 5: We can.
