My Dear CSI Members & Friends,

Greetings & Best Wishes from The CSI President.

I feel most honored & privileged to be officiating as President in the Platinum Jubilee year of our
great organization.

Friends, we all are eagerly looking forward to the most awaited event, the biggest milestone for
any Academic Organization, The Platinum Jubilee Annual Conference of CSI dated December
7th – 10th, 2023 in Kolkata. Through these 75 years CSI has come a long way & earned international
repute & credibility.

The Organizing Committee from CSI Kolkata is leaving no stone unturned to host the Platinum
ubilee meeting under the stewardship of Executive Organizing Secretary Dr D P Sinha, Organizing
Secretary Dr Rabindranath Chakraborty & Organizing Chairman Dr M K Das. I am sure that excellent
arrangements of travel, hospitality & delivery of Scientific Agenda is their foremost priority which will be
reflected on the ground without a shade of doubt and the venue is also par excellence.

The Scientific Committee is working tirelessly to see that the Platinum Jubilee Annual Conference
Scientific Agenda is par excellence covering the latest & practice impacting educative information
under the able guidance of our President Elect & Chairman, Scientific Committee, Dr P C Rath.

I am sure you will find it a sumptuous academic feast & great networking opportunity as there are
44 international faculty & more than 500 national faculty deliberating the Scientific Agenda in the city
of joy & noble laureates.

Dear Friends,

Greetings from Scientific Committee CSI 2023.

We are looking forward to welcome you to the Platinum jubilee annual conference of CSI to be held
at ITC Royal Bengal, Kolkata from December 7th to 10th. The Scientific committee is working tirelessly
to see that the conference is a memorable one for you with excellent academic content.

The CSI update book will be released during the conference. This has got two volumes with 217 chapters,
written by eminent cardiologists from India and abroad. This will definitely enrich your knowledge.

During the conference we have planned many joint sessions with different international societies,
17 live demonstration of both coronary & structural interventional cases from all over the country.
We are also having Echo live sessions for 2 days. The highlight of conference will be the Presidential
Conclave, where Presidents of cardiological society of different countries will discuss on Heart
Failure : An Emerging Epidemic - A Global Perspective .

I once again invite you to this meeting in Kolkata and extend my good wishes to you and your
family members for the ensuing Christmas and New Year.

Warm welcome to the greatest scientific feast of the Cardiological Society of India (CSI) happening
on the occasion of the 75th Annual Conference of CSI. The whole scientific program has been well
crafted with untiring effort by Dr. Pratap Chandra Rath, President-Elect of CSI and Chairman, Scientific
Committee.

It has blended the age-old basic and clinical cardiology with the state-of-the-art technology
of various interventions in cardiovascular diseases in the form of live-case presentations, seminars
and symposia. The evolving subject like digital technology, artificial intelligence, multi-modality
imaging and electrophysiology have been incorporated to inspire all the cardiologist of the globe.
A galaxy of internationally and nationally recognized speakers and faculty will present their
deliberations. To have sustainable health of the women, the program by the top-notch women
cardiologists under the aegis of CSI-Pink Council has been well chalked out. Let us interact with the
best brains of different fields of cardiology from across the globe and enrich ourselves. The budding
cardiologist fellows and peers from India as well as abroad will showcase their research activities on
various subjects like last years. In nutshell, the brain-storming scientific program will offer full platters
for three and half days for everyone who will simultaneously enjoy the hospitality of the City of Joy,
Kolkata, and leave the conference with lasting memories.

Dear Esteemed Colleagues,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you all to the Platinum Jubilee Conference of CSI to be held at
Kolkata from 7th December to 10th December, 2023. We will be happy to have you here with us and we
are looking forward to an enlightening and productive conference.

This Scientific Programme is going to be an academic bonanza for the Indian Cardiologists.
The scientific programme is an exhaustive one and will cover all the modern aspects in each field
of Cardiology.

There will be dedicated sessions on – Artificial intelligence and Digital Cardiology; Cardio-Obstetrics;
and Mental Health and Air pollution. For the first time, four Position Statements from CSI will be
presented at this Annual Conference. There will be participation of as many as 47 foreign faculties
including Presidents and Senior Office Bearers of as many as 12 Cardiac Societies across the world.
A dedicated Presidents Conclave on Acute Decompensated Heart Failure involving the Presidents
or senior Office Bearers of the participating Cardiac Societies will also be organised in this Platinum
Jubilee year.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to the Scientific Committee under
the leadership of Dr. P C Rath and the Organizing Committee for their unwavering dedication and hard
work in bringing this conference to fruition despite several challenges.

Welcome to the “City of JOY’’ from the CSICON organizing team for the Platinum Jubilee conference
of Cardiological Society of India to be held from 7th December to 10th December at ITC Royal Kolkata.

The Annual conference of Cardiological Society is the largest conference of cardiologists in India.
Cardiological Society of India was founded by Bharat Ratna Late Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy in 1948.
In this 75th platinum jubilee year of inception of Cardiological Society of India the annual conference
is being held at the city of its inception.

Keeping in mind the the scientific temper of our forebear’s lofty ideals this year on the preference day
that is 6th December the organizing committee is hosting world leaders in cardiology and technology
on a single platform to discuss about two burning issues, both literally and figuratively, that is “Artificial
Intelligence in Cardiometabolic disease prevention” and “Air pollution Mitigation through increasing
public awareness”. On this day more than 10 top leaders of Cardiological societies across the globe and
world leaders in AI from different top IT establishments will meet and deliberate with an idea to bring
out a “Consensus Document” “Kolkata Declaration”

December is most pleasant in the city of Kolkata with multitude of cultural and social events occurring
across the city. This year added to landscape will be the veritable feast of cutting edge discussion
on advances and refinements happening across the globe in the field of Cardiology.

The theme of the conference will be “Happy Heart Healthy Heart” and under the tutelage of our
Chairman of Scientific Committee will an exceptionally rich experience.

On behalf of the organizing committee of the 75th platinum jubilee conference of Cardiological Society
of India I welcome you all to enjoy the science and the culture the city of joy has to offer. I request
all our members and young budding cardiologists in training to come and join, and register yourself
in advance.
