CaliExams Program
Standard Stream
Overview The CaliExams Program is designed for performers who wish to focus on
their personal skill development and further their calisthenics technique. The
program has been designed to suit all levels of performers and provides the ability
for performers to challenge themselves and strive for continued development and
excellence.
Standard Stream Exam Uniform
Black leotard (own choice of style and fabric).
Plain black or flesh lightweight tights (footless or stirrup) or no tights.
Well fitted black bike shorts and tight white or black T-Shirt also permitted.
Rod & Clubs (tape/colour optional).
Aesthetic Skirt made with chiffon (or like chiffon) fabric. Must be cut and
hemmed at ankle length.
Hair in a neat bun (position and type optional). Please make sure if you have
short hair or a fringe that it is off your face.
Small black bow/ribbon or scrunchie optional.
No Jewellery, other than one simple stud or sleeper in each ear. Please remove
all other body piercings.
Coloured Nail polish must also be removed off fingers and toes before your
exam.
Please note: Marks for personal presentation will be forfeited if correct exam
uniform is not worn.
Foundation Examination
Foundation performers will present in small groups of 2-5. These performers may or
may not be from the same calisthenic club.
The performer’s CaliExam coach should be present in Foundation 1 exams and may
choose to be present in Foundation 2 Exams.
Performers will not be asked to perform anything other than what is written in the
exam syllabus.
Foundation Examination Results
Foundation performers who successfully achieve Foundation 1/2 will be awarded a
certificate and a critique sheet with the one of the following awards;
Distinction Merit Pass
Candidates who do not successfully achieve Foundation 1/2 will receive a critique
which states Standard Not Attained and will be encouraged to present for their
Foundation exam again in the next exam period.

FOUNDATION 2
Marking System
Candidates will be marked on separate areas within each item. These will include:
Set Choreography - Correct syllabus, well timed to music & performed with
precision.
Individual Movements - Knowledge of syllabus.
Overall Technique - Correct Calisthenic technique shown throughout.
These areas will be marked using the following grading:

The overall grading for each item will be an average of the individual marks given.
For example:
If a candidate was to receive the following grading in the Free Exercises section of the
exam, their overall grading would be averaged out to a Very Good.
VG
The overall grading for the exam will be an average of the individual letter grades given
for each item.
Distinction: 80-100
Merit: 60 - 79
Pass: 59 or less
Standard Not Attained
If a candidate receives a grading of ‘N’ in 3 or more sections of the exam, they will
receive an overall grading of Standard Not Attained.
These candidates will be encouraged to sit the same exam again in the future.

FOUNDATION 2
Candidates will also be assessed on their technique and knowledge of
individual movements in Marching, Free Exercises, Rod Exercises, Club
Swinging, Aesthetic Exercises & Dance.
