SIGNIFICANCE OF INTERNSHIP
LESSONS LEARNT
Understanding workplace culture
Culture influences communication, I learned that every company or organisation has its own culture. It’s essential to
observe others and learn how they engage and interact with co-workers, or help them with projects and tasks. I quickly
learned that whenever something is unclear for me, or I don’t understand, it’s fine to ask for clarification.
Confidence and Personal Development
My confidence and initiative have grown immensely. I now know that the answers that I wish for lie within myself. Before
working I did not believe in my abilities - but work has opened my eyes to many opportunities that I didn’t even know
existed previously. I now have a steady amount of responsibility and every chance of success. I realize my potential
ADMINISTRATION-
Before I started working, I didn’t know what to expect from administrative work. Attention to detail, organization, time
keeping and structure are all skills that I have improved on, given their necessity to my role. I've found Administration to be
a great starting point and the skill base I have developed will remain relevant throughout my career, regardless of the job
role I may develop into
CHALLENGES FACED
A number of challenges and issues faced as a trainee are
Firstly, I am new to the showroom work culture and it takes time to understand the surroundings or like how the
system works.
The second challenge faced is burden of work load
Sometimes employers or trainers find it difficult to train the new trainee as he has to make him/her learn all the
things from the very beginning which consumes a lot of time and energy
