1. Install the MOTOTRBO CPS Software

2. Then, install the software update

3. Open the file MOTOTRBO CPS Archive (.ctb) for the specific vessel

4. Connect the cable PMKN4013C to a PC via USB Port. Turn ON the radio and put a fresh
battery on before programming.

5. Click the “Clone” icon to start the programming

6. Details of the connected radio will appear, select the radio and click OK

9. Radio will produce a tone once programming is finished. Wait until you heard it before
disconnecting the cable.

10. Additional Notes.

a. We are still using the same frequency band, the only difference with this new setup is
the RX/TX Squelch type. We are now using TPL and each vessel have dedicated
TX/RX TPL frequencies.

b. New changes in Version 2

- Disabled “Zone 2 (CH11-20)” because of some cases during operation that the
button has been accidentally pressed by a harness, tools etc. Unaware that the
Zone had already been changed. Thus, brought up in Rubi as a safety issue.

- Disabled “Talk Permit tone” this removes the alert tone of Push-to-talk (PTT). Raise
by Lay coordinator as a safety issue because of delay while talking.
