MPSC Syllabus (Revised Pattern)

1. MPSC Prelims Syllabus (Objective)

Paper I: General Studies (100 Questions, 200 Marks)

- Current events of state, national, and international importance

- History of India (with special reference to Maharashtra)

- Geography (India and Maharashtra)

- Indian Polity and Governance

- Economic and Social Development

- Environmental Ecology, Biodiversity, and Climate Change

- General Science

Paper II: CSAT (100 Questions, 200 Marks) [Qualifying: 33% needed]

- Comprehension

- Interpersonal skills including communication

- Logical reasoning and analytical ability

- Decision-making and problem-solving

- General mental ability

- Basic numeracy (Class 10 level)

- Data interpretation (charts, graphs, etc.)

2. MPSC Mains Syllabus (Descriptive)

Each paper: 150 marks; total of 800 marks

Paper I: Marathi and English (Qualifying Only)

- Marathi & English grammar, comprehension, précis writing, translation


Paper II: Essay (Descriptive)

- One essay on state/national/international issues

- History and geography of Maharashtra and India
