How to jog a KMC – Axis


Open the KMC – Axis jogging dialog

Press the button “Configure” at the upper menu bar of the


KUKA BOF and select following the menu entry.

Statuskeys  0 KMC Axis

Selecting a KMC – Axis

Use the buttons “Up” or “Down” at the left menu bar to select
the KMC – axis you want to jog.

The number of the selected KMC – axis will be displayed at the


icon of the button above the “Up” botton.

Jog the selected KMC – axis

Step #1:

To jog the selected KMC – axis, the Operation mode “T1”


(Testing mode) of the KUKA Robot control system needs to be
activated.

Turn the Operation mode selecting switch of the KUKA


Control panel (KCP) to the position “T1”

Step #2:

To the release the movement of the selected of KMC – axis,


you have to press and to hold one of the “Release” buttons at
back of the KCP.

Step #3:

Press the button “+” or “-“ to jog the selected KMC – axis into
the plus or minus direction.

How to master a KMC – Axis


Drive the KMC – axis to the Mastering position

Before you can start to master a KMC – axis, it is required to


move the KMC – axis to its Mastering position (Zero position).

At the KMC – axis you want master, you will find a Steel arrow
(at the moving part) and a small plate with an Arrow on it. The
Arrow at the plate is marking the Mechanical zero position of
the KMC – axis.

Take care that the Steel array and Arrow at the small plate
are exactly side by side!

Open the KMC – Axis mastering dialog

Press the button “Configure” at the upper menu bar of the


KUKA BOF and select following the menu entry.

Statuskeys  1 KMC Axis Mastering

Use the buttons “Up” or “Down” at the left menu bar to select
the KMC – axis you want to master.

The number of the selected KMC – axis will be displayed at the


icon of the button above the “Up” botton.

Master the selected KMC – axis

Step #1:

To master the selected KMC – axis, the Operation mode “T1”


(Testing mode) of the KUKA Robot control system needs to be
activated.

Turn the Operation mode selecting switch of the KUKA


Control panel (KCP) to the position “T1”

Step #2:

First off all press and hold the button “Reset” for a minimum
of 1 second, then press and hold the button “Master” too for
a minimum 1 second.

If the Mastering wasn’t successful, press the button “Reset”


for one time and repeat Step #2.
