**Context:** Indian School Environment
**Duration:** 5–7 minutes
**Characters (7 students):**

Scene 1: Classroom During Break Time
*Props: Benches, chairs, blackboard, one notebook or attendance register with the Teacher*
*(Students are chatting quietly. The Teacher walks in and gently calls a group to gather.)*
Teacher: Good morning, students. Thank you for coming during your break. I wanted to talk
to you about something important – it’s about Aarav. I’m sure you’ve noticed he hasn’t been
attending class regularly.
Priya: Yes, Ma’am. Aarav hasn’t been in class for several days. We are quite worried.
Rohit: Aarav is my best friend, Ma’am. He told me things are tough at home. His father lost
his job, and there’s a lot of stress. That’s why he’s been absent.
Teacher: Thank you for sharing that, Rohit. It’s very important to understand what our
classmates may be going through. Let’s think of how we can support him instead of letting
him feel left out.
Scene 2: Students Brainstorm Ways to Help
*(The students sit in a semi-circle, discussing ideas. Teacher listens and encourages.)*
Neha: We can help Aarav with his studies. Maybe we can divide subjects among us and take
turns sharing notes with him.
Imran: And we could make a WhatsApp group just for helping him. We can keep him
updated on classwork and homework.
Simran: Maybe we can also include him in group projects. If he feels involved, he might not
feel so disconnected.
Priya: I’ll also call him every few days just to check in and share class news. A small call can
make him feel like he still belongs.
Teacher: Excellent ideas, everyone. Your kindness and teamwork really make me proud.
Let’s create a support group. I will also speak with the school counselor and Aarav’s parents.
But your role as friends is very powerful.
Scene 3: Taking Action
Rohit: I’ll visit Aarav this weekend and explain everything to him. I’ll tell him we all care and
that we’re ready to help.
Teacher: Wonderful. Keep this spirit alive. True learning happens when we lift each other
up.
All Students (together): “Together, we rise!”
*(Everyone smiles. Curtain closes.)*
End of Role Play
