SUMMARY OF THE LESSON

It is a picture story about a mouse that does not play and does not eat healthy food.

Reggie mouse loved to eat cheese and avoided all other food. His mother, Rita,
was worried about this habits. Whenever she tried to speak to him, he wouldn’t
listen. One day, when he was getting dressed, all the buttons of his shirt came off
and his pants ripped apart. None of his shirts fitted him as he had become fat.
Reggie thought all his shirts were shrunk and began to cry. He realizes his mistakes
and follows his mother’s advice. Soon his clothes un shrunk.

1. What advice did Reggie’s mother give to her son?

Ans. Reggie’s mother advised her son to start eating healthy food such as fruits,
vegetables, cereals and fish. She also told him that he should go out and play with
his friends more often.

2. Why didn’t Reggie listen to her advice?

Ans. Reggie didn’t listen to her advice because he loved cheese and declared that
he would not eat anything else. He also said that it was too hot to play outside and
he would watch T.V instead.

3. Why did the buttons of Reggie’s shirt go pop?

Ans. Reggie’s shirt buttons went ‘pop’ because he had become too fat and couldn’t
fit into his clothes anymore. The shirt had become too tight for him.

4. Why were Reggie’s clothes lying on the floor?

Ans. Reggie’s clothes were lying on the floor because he had tried them all as none
of the clothes were fitting him anymore.

5. How did Reggie un- shrink his clothes?


Ans. Reggie started to play football with his friends every afternoon. He started
having healthy food such as soup, carrots, spinach, and grapes for dinner. Thus
Reggie lost weight and un shrunk his clothes
