Part 3 Teacher Instructions
Now, you’re going to talk about something together for about two minutes. I’m going to describe a situation to
you.
Place ‘Family holiday activities’ in front of the students.
A family wants to go on holiday together for two weeks. They want to find some fun activities to do together
on holiday.
Here are some activities that they could do.
Talk together about the different activities the family can do on holiday, and say which would be the most fun.
Okay? Now, talk together.
Give students about 2-3 minutes to talk together.

Ask the students the following questions.
• Do you prefer to go on holiday with your family or your friends? Why? Select any of the
following prompts:
• Is it important to do different activities on holiday? Why?/Why not?
• What about you?
• Do you prefer to relax or go sightseeing on holiday? Why?
• What do you think?
• Do you think it is useful to speak English when you go on holiday to a different
country? Why?/Why not? • Do you agree?
• Do you prefer to go on beach holidays or adventure holidays? Why?
