Final Project Instructions: Travel Agency Promotion
English Class – Level 2
Project Overview
For this final project, students will step into the role of a travel agency and design a
promotional campaign for a trip to a destination of their choice. The goal is to create an
engaging and well-structured presentation that highlights key travel details, using English
vocabulary related to transportation, accommodations, attractions, services, and more.
Project Objectives
By completing this project, students will:
• Develop their English communication skills within the travel and tourism context.
• Learn and practice vocabulary related to means of transport, accommodation,
attractions, services, and weather.
• Use descriptive language to promote a travel experience convincingly.
• Apply research and presentation skills to deliver an engaging final product.
Project Requirements
Students must complete the following tasks to create their travel promotion:
1. Choose a Destination
o Select a city or town to promote. (Different from the previous tasks)
o Provide basic information: location, weather, best time to visit.
2. Means of Transport
o Describe how travelers can reach the destination from Ibagué.
o Include estimated prices and duration for different travel options.
3. Description of Places
o Highlight 3 important landmarks, tourist attractions or natural wonders.
o Include engaging descriptions and reasons to visit these places.
4. Types of Accommodation & Amenities
o Offer 2 accommodation options (hotels, hostels, resorts, Airbnb,etc).
o Describe services provided (Wi-Fi, breakfast, swimming pool, airport
shuttle).
5. Activities & Places to Visit
o List 3 things to do (museums, hiking, beaches, city tours, food tasting).
o Provide recommendations on must-see locations.
6. Giving Directions
o Include simple instructions on how to get from one place to another.
o Use basic phrases (e.g., "Turn right at the next street," "Walk five minutes
from the hotel").
7. Prices & Budget Considerations
o Provide estimated costs for transport, accommodation, and activities. (From
Nov 28-Dic 2, two adults)
o Suggest budget-friendly options for travelers.
8. Documents Needed & Travel Preparations
o Explain necessary documents to travel (passport, visa, vaccinations if
needed).
o Mention important travel tips before departure.
9. Weather & Clothes Suggestions
o Describe the typical weather conditions during the trip.
o Recommend appropriate clothing for the season.
10. Travel agency logo and contact information
Final Product
Students will present their travel promotion through one of the following formats:
• A poster showcasing key travel details.
• A PowerPoint presentation with images, descriptions, and travel tips.
Project Timeline
The project will be completed over two class sessions (3 hours each):
Class 1 (Preparation & Research)
• Choose a destination and gather necessary details.
• Research and organize information 1-5
• Draft 1
Class 2 (Finalization & Presentation)
• Research and organize information 6-10
• Finalize the project format (poster, presentation).
• Prepare for the class presentation, ensuring clarity and creativity.
