INTRODUCTION
Monitoring weather’s condition plays an extensive role in every
person’s life. The impact of the environment’s condition causes
numerous challenges in various fields like agriculture, industry,
constructions as well as more other fields. But the measured
impact occurs mostly in agriculture and industry. As we all know,
agriculture perform a crucial role in India’s Economy. Almost One
fourth of India’s economy is acquired from Agriculture. Over the
recent year, smart agriculture was a debated topic in the world. In
IoT, the smart word indicates that the use of minimum parameters
produces a better result.
PROBLEM DEFINITION

First, gathering data is easy on land, but difficult in the air and at sea, where
no one lives, and In the air, which is also not a good place for a
meteorological instrument. Moreover, where Surface qualities change
quickly over a brief distance (like along the coast or in the mountains), An
illogically high thickness of climate perceptions is required. Second, there
are limitations to A computer, which is used to make all current weather
forecasts: Weather forecasts can, of Course, become more precise as
computational power increases. They might also get better if New
mathematical rules or computer algorithms that explain nature more
precisely are made. The method a computer uses to solve equations is one
reason for different weather patterns.

Description:
The accurate prediction of rainfall is a pivotal challenge in meteorology, with
potential implications for various sectors such as agriculture, water resource
management, and disaster preparedness. Rainfall monitoring systems play a crucial
role in collecting essential information about moisture and temperature, enabling the
production of graphical rainfall maps based on current and past readings. Upon
reviewing several papers in the field, it becomes apparent that none of them have
addressed the specific combination of temperature and moisture parameters within
an intertwined system that incorporates selectors for modifying these settings. While
there is one research paper that explores the incorporation of multiple environmental
conditions, there remains a notable absence of citations related to the inclusion of
selectors for customization.

• Blynk
1. IoT Platform for Remote Monitoring: Blynk is an Internet of Things (IoT)
platform that allows users to remotely monitor and control hardware like
sensors through a smartphone app or web dashboard.
2. Real-Time Data Visualization: It enables real-time visualization of weather
data (e.g., temperature, humidity, rainfall) from sensors using widgets like
gauges, graphs, and LCDs.
3. Easy Integration with Microcontrollers: Blynk is compatible with Arduino,
NodeMCU, ESP8266, ESP32, and other microcontrollers commonly used in
weather stations.
4. Cloud-Based Communication: Sensor data is transmitted to the Blynk
Cloud, which then sends it to the user's app for live updates—eliminating the
need for local servers.
HARDWARE
NODE MCU
The prototyping hardware typically used is a circuit board functioning as a dual in-
line package (DIP) which integrates a USB controller with a smaller surface-
mounted board containing the MCU and antenna. The choice of the DIP format
allows for easy prototyping on breadboards. The design was initially based on the
ESP-12 module of the ESP8266, which is a Wi-Fi SoC integrated with
a Tensilica Xtensa LX106 core, widely used in IoT applications.

Specifications:-

Parameter Specification
Flash Memory 4MB
Digital I/O Pins 11
Clock Speed 80MHz
DHT11Sensor:

The DHT11 is a commonly used Temperature and humidity sensor

that comes with a dedicated NTC to measure temperature and an 8-bit
microcontroller to output the values of temperature and humidity as
serial data.

Specification:

Parameter Specifications
Operating Voltage 3.5V to 5.5V
Switching Current 10A
Temperature Range 0°C to 50°C
RAIN SENSOR

The rain sensor module/board is shown below. Basically, this board

includes nickel coated lines and it works on the resistance principle.
This sensor module permits to gauge moisture through analog output
pins & it gives a digital output while moisture threshold surpasses.

Specification:-

Parameter Specifications
Voltage 3.3 V to 5 V
Dimensions 56 x 71 x 120 mm
Temperature range -40°C to 85°C
BMP 180 SENSOR

The Bosch BMP180 barometric pressure sensor measures absolute

pressure, which varies with both altitude and weather. To take a
pressure reading, you must first take a temperature reading using start
Temperature and get Temperature. Once you have the temperature, you
can then take a pressure reading.

Specification:-

Parameter Specifications
Operating voltage 1.3 V to 3.6 V
Operating -40ºC to +80ºC

businesses in optimizing their operations and reducing overall costs.
Limitations

1. Technical Complexity
2. Need for specialized maintenance
3. Less data security
4. Data processing challenges
5. Reliability and maintenance.
INDUSTRIAL APLLICATIONS
Manufacturing industry: Manufacturing is directly connected to the
weather system. Business productions are highly dependent upon
weather conditions. An IoT-based weather monitoring system ensures
that businesses can optimize and maintain their production.

Warehouse Management: Warehouse management is dependent

upon weather conditions. In fact, logistics and inventory management
systems are majorly affected by weather conditions.

Agriculture: A weather monitoring system using IoT is very

important for the agriculture industry. Weather conditions directly
influence farming decisions. For selecting crops, planting, watering,
dealing with farming issues, pest control, and other challenges, IoT
weather monitoring systems provide in-depth insight. By getting
precise information on temperature, rainfall, and moisture in the soil,
farmers can make data-driven decisions and move towards sustainable
growth.
Result

The weather reporting systems gather real-time data from interconnected

sensors and devices, ensuring precise weather insights for various
industries. IOT-based weather monitoring systems seamlessly integrate
data from a multitude of sources.
