CLASS PROJECT GUIDE: Creating Your
Own School
Objective
You will design your ideal educational institution considering all the elements studied
during the course. This project will challenge you to apply your knowledge about
organizational structures, pedagogy, sociocultural context, power relations, and technology
in education.
You will create:
- A detailed plan and explanation (written or oral presentation).
- A poster with the visual representation (drawing) of your school.

What to include in your school project
Physical Space
Location, infrastructure (buildings, classrooms, recreational areas), accessibility and
inclusion.
Pedagogies
Teaching and learning methods, inclusion of alternative or innovative pedagogies, student-
centered learning.
Context and Sociocultural Aspects
Community characteristics, diversity and inclusion, cultural impact and sensitivity.
Technology
Role of technology in teaching and learning, tools and platforms.
Power Relations
Authority figures (roles and responsibilities), participation and student voice.
Organizational Structure (Organigram)
Your school must have a clear and logical organizational structure. Define key roles
(Principal, Coordinators, Teachers, Administrative Staff, Support Staff, Maintenance,
Students, Parents/Community). Create a hierarchical diagram showing connections,
decision-making power, communication flows and consider adding innovative roles like
Technology Coordinator or Diversity Officer. Explain how your structure reflects your
school's philosophy.
Drawing and Poster
A clear and creative representation of your school on a poster. Include key areas, spaces and
symbolic elements.
Additional (optional but recommended)
School vision and mission, school rules or philosophy.
Final Product
- Presentation in front of the class (optional for deeper explanation)
- Poster (mandatory): Make sure the drawing reflects everything explained and is visually
attractive.

- Use color and symbols in your poster to make it more attractive.
