Solid Lecture 1

The document discusses the definition and types of solids, specifically focusing on crystals which have a regular periodic arrangement of atoms. It categorizes crystals into two main types: single crystals and polycrystals. Additionally, it outlines the seven crystal systems: Triclinic, Monoclinic, Orthorhombic, Trigonal, Hexagonal, Tetragonal, and Cubic.
