want to achieve and creating a plan to reach it. In career
exploration, this means deciding on short-term and long-
term career goals and taking steps to accomplish them.

they like and dislike about their work.
SMART Goals Framework
SMART is an acronym that ensures goals are
clear and attainable:
Specific: Clearly define what you want to
achieve.
Measurable: Include criteria to track progress.
Achievable: Ensure the goal is realistic given
your resources.
Relevant: Align the goal with your broader
objectives.
Time-bound: Set a deadline to stay motivated.

OVERCOMING CHALLENGES
Lack of Information
Challenge: Not knowing what careers are out there or what they require.
Solution: Use reliable sources like career websites, job shadowing, and
talking to mentors or school counselors.
Fear of Making the Wrong Choice
Challenge: Worrying that you’ll pick the “wrong” career.
Solution: Remember that career paths can change. Start with what
interests you and be open to growth and learning.
Limited Opportunities or Resources
Challenge: Not having access to training, internships, or mentors.
Solution: Seek out scholarships, free online resources, local programs, and
networking events.

Choose an interviewer and three applicants from your group
Your group will be given 3 minutes to write up an application for the chosen
applicants
Once time is up, hand over the application to one of the applicant.
Groups will rotate 3 times (1 minute per interval)
