INTRODUCTION :
• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) integrates information retrieval with generative models to provide
context-rich, up-to-date answers from external sources like research papers.
• Fine Tuning is the process of adapting a base language model with domain-specific data. A fine-tuned model
then tailors its responses to technical language and nuances essential for scientific research.

FUTURE WORK :
• Combining Fine Tuning with RAG: further enhancing the chatbot’s domain expertise, for accurate and
robust scientific explanations.
• Persistent Vector Database: Stores embeddings to continuously grow the chatbot’s knowledge with each
new embedding added.
• Towards an Autonomous Co-Scientist: A system that not only answers questions but also plans
experiments, integrates with robotics to execute them, and performs real-time data acquisition and analysis.
