Statement of Compliance – MANGPOL PP HM012T

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited, states that MANGPOL PP HM012T meets the
requirements of:
1. IS: 10910:1984 (R 2018) on” Specification for Polypropylene and its copolymers for its safe use
in contact with food stuffs, pharmaceuticals and drinking water”.
2. The additive added in this grade formulation complies to the ” Positive List of Constituents for
Polypropylene, Polyethylene and their Copolymers for its Safe Use in Contact with Foodstuffs
and Pharmaceuticals” as laid down under IS 16738:2018.
3. CFR- Code of Federal Regulation, Title 21 (Food & Drugs),Part 177 (Indirect Food Additives:
Polymers) of USFDA 21CFR177.1520, Olefin Polymer (Propylene)
4. REACH compliance as per latest , 223 SVHCs (Jan 2022) for Authorization published by
European Chemical Agency (ECHA) regarding European Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006
concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of chemicals (REACH).
5. Over all migration and specific migration tests as per European Regulation EC 10/2011 on
plastic material & articles intended to come into contact with food and its subsequent
amendments up to latest regulation EU 2020/1245 in regard with EU regulation EC
1935/2004.
6. EN 13130:2004 (Materials and articles in contact with foodstuffs) / FSSAI’s- 2018 , Food Safety
and Standards (Packaging and Labelling) regulation 2011, 9th Amendment , August 2020.
7. RoHS 3 (10E) as per Directive (EU) 2015/863 amending Annex II to Directive 2011/65/EU.
8. European Parliament & Council Directive 94/62/EC (Dec’1994) on Packaging and Packaging
Waste -Total Lead, Cadmium, Mercury and Hexavalent Chromium Content.

This declaration of MRPL is restricted to the above material as it leaves the MRPL facilities and
does not include any substances added subsequently by the converter.
As the above mentioned regulations have amendments regularly, our declarations will be
updated accordingly. Hence, customers are requested to check for new declarations from time to
time before usage.
