BRIEF DESCRIPTION The “Innovation in Action: See It, Build It,
Understand It” event is a showcase of innovative
DIY science projects developed by CTEd’s Science
students in Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics,
and Waves & Optics. This interactive event is
designed for all CSU - Andrews students,
providing opportunities for hands-on exploration
of demonstrations, participation in officer-led

presentations, and enhanced understanding
through accompanying written materials and
question-and-answer sessions. The hands-on,
practical nature of this event directly supports the
skills assessed in the LEPT, improving knowledge
retention and application. It bridges the gap
between theory and practice, making the learning
experience more effective and enhancing the
candidates’ overall preparedness.

Guidelines

1. Projects must be innovative, clearly explained, safe, and suitable for hands-on

demonstration. Each project should clearly demonstrate the scientific principle,

be visually appealing, and be easily understood by a general audience.

2. Officer-led presentations should be concise (4 –5 minutes), engaging, and

interactive, encouraging audience participation.

Mechanics

1. Short program will provide an event overview, highlight key projects, and offer

broader scientific context.

2. Selected projects will be displayed at numbered stations in the Athena Lobby,

each including a title, description, instructions, and a designated student

presenter. Stations will be easy to navigate.

3. Students can freely explore projects and interact with demonstrations, following

all safety guidelines and instructions. Facilitators will ensure safety and answer

questions.

Administration

1. The event will have a coordinator, a project selection committee, student

presenters, and student officers, each with clearly defined roles.

2. The event will be promoted through the organization’s Facebook page, and

posters will be hung in the Athena Lobby.

3. Photos of participating students will be taken and posted on the organization’s

Facebook page as documentation of the event. Consent will be obtained from

each student before posting their photo.

4. Post-event evaluation will involve collecting student feedback through surveys

to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Project quality will

be evaluated using a standardized rubric based on student feedback and

demonstration effectiveness. A comprehensive report will summarize the

event’s success, including attendance and feedback.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION The “EduClash: Giyera na Uto” is an inter-group quiz


bee competition designed for Science majors and
E=mc2 members. This event aims to challenge
students’ knowledge in various scientific fields while
enhancing their teamwork and problem-solving
abilities. The competition features five main
categories: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

Guidelines

1. The competition shall be open to all members of Energtic Moulders Co-ed’s

Club.

2. Each group must have 3-4 members.

3. The Top 3 teams shall receive the following prizes:

a. First Place: Tokens and certificate

b. Second Place: Tokens and certificate

c. Third Place: Tokens and certificate

d. Consolation Prizes include certificates of participation.

4. The official time keepers, quiz master and the proctors will be identified by the

coordinator.

Mechanics

1. The competition shall be open to all members of Energtic Moulders Co-ed’s

Club.

2. The Educlash: Giyera na Uto Science Quiz Bee shall cover questions in Biology,

Chemistry, Earth/Space Science, and Physics.

3. There shall be three (3) rounds: easy, average, and difficult. The easy round

shall consist of ten (10) questions, the average round, ten (10) questions, and

the difficult round, five (5) questions. A clincher round shall be done to break

ties.

4. The following shall be the point allocation and time limit for each question type.
