10 Commandments

1. "I am the Lord your God you shall not have strange Gods before me" (Ex 20:2-6, Deut
5:6-10)
2. "You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain" (Ex 20:7-8, Deut 5:11-12)
3. "Remember to keep holy the Lord's Day" (Ex 20:8-11, Deut 5:12-15)
4. "Honor your father and your mother" (Ex 20:12, Deut 5:16)
5. "You shall not kill" (Ex 20:13, Deut 5:17)
6. "You shall not commit adultery" (Ex 20:14, Deut 5:18)
7. "You shall not steal" (Ex 20:15, Deut 5:19)
8. "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor" (Ex 20:16, Deut 5:20)
9. "You shall not covet your neighbor's wife" (Ex 20:17, Deut 5:21)
10. "You shall not covet your neighbor's goods" (Ex 20:17, Deut 5:21)

8 Beatitudes

1. Blessed are the Poor in Spirit; the kingdom of heaven is theirs.


2. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
3. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
4. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for what is right; they shall be satisfied.
5. Blessed are the merciful; they will be shown mercy.
6. Blessed are the pure in heart; they shall see God.
7. Blessed are the peacemakers; they shall be called the children of God
8. Blessed are those who are persecuted for the sake of what is right, for theirs is the
kingdom of heaven

Theological Virtues (Faith, Hope, Love, Charity)

 Virtue is a “habitual and firm disposition to do the good. It allows the person not only to
perform good acts, but to give the best of himself.
 The theological virtues are “gifts infused by God into the souls of the faithful to make
them capable of acting as His children and of meriting eternal life. The theological virtues
are Faith, Hope, and Charity”
 The word theological comes from the Greek words Theos which means God and logos
which means word or understanding

 FAITH
 Faith is defined as the virtue by which we firmly believe all of the Truths that God has
revealed, and on the word of God by revealing them.
 HOPE
 Hope is the virtue by which we firmly trust that God, Who is all-powerful and all-faithful
to His promises, will in His mercy give us eternal happiness and the means to obtain it.
 LOVE (charity)
 Charity is the virtue by which we love God above all things for His own sake, and our
neighbors as ourselves for the love of God. (CCC 1822)
