questions of law and fact that the court needed to address. (This can be taken from
the discussion or appreciation by the judge in the judgment.)
e. Witnesses in the Case:
i. List the witnesses examined by the prosecution and defense.
ii. Mention their roles and relevance to the case.
f. Relief Sought in the Case:
State the relief sought by the complainant/prosecution, such as conviction,
punishment, fine, or any other criminal penalty.
g. Observations of the Court:
Summarize the court’s observations and conclusions in your own words, referring
to the judgment’s concluding section. Use either English or Hindi for this part.
h. Effective Hearing:
Document an effective hearing you attended during the trial process, from the case's
admission to its conclusion.
i. Word-to-Word Dialogue (Example format):
Provide a real-life conversation that occurred in court. Ensure accuracy and
relevance.

9. Whole procedure in written form after completing drafting of a case till its filing
in court
a. After taking printout of the case, which and how papers are to be filed and in
which order (e.g.- first title page, Vakalatnama etc.)
b. Stamp of what value is to be pasted on particular application/ petition/revision
etc. and on Vakalatnama (Value in terms of Rupees/if any)
c. How many Xerox set is to be taken and for what purpose?
d. To whom advance copy is to be provided (if needed)?
e. After preparing complete file for filing, before which Judge or officer or
presentation section, original set with copies are to be submitted?
f. On filing, how first date is to be taken for the hearing of the case?
10. External Viva-Voce- It will be conducted in presence of external and internal faculty
after confirmation of name of faculty by DAVV and date for Viva-Voce by the
external faculty member.
11. Important Instructions
a. The moot court file must be in handwritten form with proper footer and page
numbering.
b. Only legal white pages are to be used. Other types of paper will not be
accepted.
c. The file must be submitted in spiral-bound format.
d. An Index and Acknowledgment must be prepared and annexed at the beginning
of the file.
e. Annexures (photocopy sets of civil and criminal cases) must be on legal green
papers.
f. The file must include details of the Webliography and Bibliography referred to
at the end.
g. The moot court file must be submitted to Asst. Prof. Ayush Agrawal.
h. The last date for file submission is 24/02/2025.
Note: Students from Hindi medium may prepare their file in Hindi.
Additional Requirement:
Students must get their file vetted by the file coordinator, Asst. Prof. Ayush Agrawal,
before submitting it for spiral binding.
