The Board, in its meeting held on 29.11.2023, has approved the revised Schedule of
Competent Authorities for the purpose of placing an officer under Suspension in terms
of Regulation 12 of Punjab National Bank Officer Employees’ (Discipline & Appeal)
-04 94
Regulations, 1977. The earlier schedule of Competent Authorities was circulated vide
HRD Circular No 854/2021 dated 17.05.2021.

2. The approved revised Schedule of Competent Authorities for the purpose of placing

Note:
I. An order of suspension made or deemed to have been made under
Regulation 12 of PNB Officer Employees’ (D&A) Regulations, 1977, may at any
point of time be modified or revoked by the authority which made or is deemed to
have made the order {Regulation 12(5)(b)};
II. Authority higher than the designated Competent Authority can exercise the
powers vested with their juniors.
3. The above schedule of Competent Authorities shall come into force with immediate
effect.
