1.To strive = to try hard
To pull something off = to do successfully
I strive to eat and do daily exercise healthy diet, although I don’t always pull it off

2. To get up to = to do
I don’t get up to much in my free time.

3. To get into something = to become interested in an activity / hobby


I recently got into yoga and I am really enjoying it now

Touch wood = said to avoid bad luck!
