A place I visited in my childhood

When I was a child, my family took a long drive. We went to Recife, a city
located at a distance of more than two thousand kilometers from Rio de Janeiro, in
northeast region of Brazil. It was an incredible experience for me by several reasons.

We made the trip in the middle nineties. At that time, people were guided by
road signs and complicated maps. Therefore, it was common to get lost or follow the
worst ways. In fact, it made the trip even more exciting, because we know places that
were not on the original schedule. It was an opportunity to admire breathtaking
landscapes in many states along the way.

Besides the trip itself, we visited our relatives. Due to the short period that we
were there, the whole family prepared a barbecue and we had a blast. It was the last
time that I saw my entire family together.

However, not everything was perfect. My father had difficulties of driving alone,
as my mother hadn´t her driving license yet and I was only ten years old. He even had
trouble sleeping at night and constant headaches. In addition, the trip was very
expensive and my family spent a lot of time paying for it.

About your favorite sport

Football is the most popular sport in the world. It is widely played and admired on the
five continents. Soccer is my favorite game as it is very exciting to play or watch and it
also involves skill, physical condition and teamwork simultaneously.

When I was younger, I used to practice two or three times a week, right after school.
However, nowadays I only watch football games on TV. This sport is very interesting
for me, because it involves a lot of strategy. If a football player has possession of the
ball, he needs to think about the other teammates and work with them to be successful.

Resourceful players, such as Leonel Messi or Neymar, have developed their own unique
techniques, which include ways to control and pass the ball.
