Case study-Niraj
Niraj got a job with an IT company as a Data Entry Operator. He joined
the company after attending training. He was keen on making a
significant contribution to his role.
He really enjoyed his work in the early days. He was excited about his
new life working with his colleagues, working in a huge organization. He
was also given fewer tasks as he was new.
Initially, he used to get 500 worksheets to work on every week and this
seemed to be a comfortable job to Niraj. As days went by, the company
restructured the job roles of all employees. Niraj was asked to work for
another department in the same company under a new boss.
Niraj did not like the change in his job role and also his new
department. Gradually, his work increased to 1400 per week in
the new department. His new boss was very particular and
serious about the tasks and results. Niraj did not like his boss
being very serious and strict. He felt overloaded, and that his boss
had increased his work without increasing his pay.
Niraj’s performance gradually reduced and he was not meeting his
weekly targets.
When he saw other colleagues being rewarded for their work, the
pressure on Niraj further increased. He started avoiding work and
making excuses.
His behavior was observed by his manager who advised him to
change his approach towards work. Despite getting feedback
from his peers and boss, he did not change his behavior.
Instead, he decided to change his job as he felt that current
organization was treating him unfairly. He submitted his
resignation to his boss and left the organization.
In spite of searching for jobs in various companies, he could not
get one as he was not meeting any company’s expectations

Stop Complaining
• The majority of people start complaining as
soon as they find themselves in a difficult
situation
• It is normal but this reaction leads nowhere
• Instead, learn to accept the situation, adapt
to it and move on.
There is no “Right” and “Wrong”
• Eliminate “Wrong” beliefs from your life
• We used to believe that many things are
“Wrong” and must be avoided, but it’s not the
case
• It’s someone’s perspective that makes
something Right or Wrong
• if you want to be successful, be bold enough
to try things that others run away from
Be Open to Change
• New things aren’t necessarily bad things
• No matter how you consider it, changes make
our lives better. Unless you are doing something
that can damage your health and overall life
• Feel free to experiment with personal and
professional life
Have a Plan B
• Successful things don’t happen overnight
• When Plan A doesn’t work, switch to Plan B. If
it still doesn’t work, move to Plan C.
• If 20 plans don’t work, move to Plan W or Y
• No change will scare you
Engage in Positive Talk
• Believe in yourself. Always talk to yourself
that you’re successful. Whatever you
achieved so far in the life is because of
your efforts only
• For every problem there is an opportunity
to see our self in different role.
• Let us face any problem by saying “I will
do it”
• What is important is accepting the
situation and appreciating our efforts
Don’t Blame Yourself
• Adaptable people know their personalities and
they always keep reinventing themselves in
order to adapt
• They don’t blame themselves for mistakes,
failures, rejections, traits and doubts
• They do realize that if they can’t change it, they
must accept it
• Blaming yourself or others is just a waste of
time
• Focus on improvement, not the past
Stop Waiting
• Stop waiting for the right time, right place, success,
happiness, money, people, opportunities etc.
• When it comes to adaptability, there’s no "Right
Moment"
• You have to take action to cope with the hard times
• You can either Influence/Change or Accept it.
There’s no other choice.
