Project Duration
DATE OF IMPLEMENTATION
March 8, March 15, and March 22, 2025
Length of Implementation
The three-day implementation will focus on executing the project with structured visits, each
lasting three hours. On Day 1, the objective is to introduce the project, establish goals, and conduct
initial assessments on Barangay Guinobatan. Day 2 will involve hands-on implementation of
LUNA GOCO COLLEGES, INC.

feeding program, including food preparation, distribution, and ensuring proper nutrition and
hygiene practices are observed. On Day 3, the focus will be on executing a clean-up drive, focusing
on waste segregation, proper disposal, and promoting environmental awareness for long-term
cleanliness.
Objectives of the Project
a. Background
ent.
b. Justification of the Project
The CLEAN-UP project seeks to address the most critical issue concerning improper
disposal of wastes and the poor environmental awareness in Barangay Guinobatan. There are badly
polluted areas that result from ineffective waste management, with grave health consequences
facing the individuals and the environment within the proximity. Doubtlessly, these issues will
worsen unless action is enforced immediately because one cannot have a quality life without these
things. At its core, the idea is not only about cleanliness but about more deeply ingrained and long-
lasting shifts in people's perception and handling of their environmental responsibilities. We will
organize the clean-up drives to eliminate harmful waste from key areas, but we will also seek
mindset shifts. Educational publicity campaigns will become one of the main approaches to
creating awareness, educating the mass public, especially the younger generation, on proper waste
disposal and recycling, and adopting practices that will aid in sustainability. It is not just about
solving the problem for the short term but equipping the community with knowledge and habits
obtainable to maintain a cleaner and healthier environment in the long term.
This project will involve a diverse group of stakeholders with NSTP 2 BSN students, local
government units, volunteers, and community members to create an effective force to bring about
changes. We plan to address short-term concerns concerning waste management and build a culture
of environmental stewardship that lives beyond the project's existence. This project should
therefore be characterized by a sense of shared responsibility and unity so that every individual
feels empowered to contribute to the collective well-being of the community. It also makes a point
to include and engage participation. No matter how young or old a person is or where they are
from, it is the individual's responsibility for the long-term sustainability of his or her surroundings.
Engaging residents both in the cleaning efforts and educational aspects of this project lays a
foundation for a more conscious, responsible, and active community in understanding the
connection between human health and environmental well-being.
Essentially, the CLEAN-UP project endeavors to make that impact last just a clean and
healthy community today but equipped residents with skills, knowledge, and values required for
continued care for the environment tomorrow. That's not the case with simply cleaning up garbage.
It means cleaning up some minds and generating community-wide sustainability commitment.

c. Benefits Derived from the Project
The Feeding Program and Clean-Up Drive organized by NSTP 2-A students of Luna Goco
Colleges offer several benefits. They create a meaningful impact on both the community and the
students involved. The Feeding Program addresses immediate hunger, offering a helping hand to
those in need and spreading compassion throughout the community. It shows the importance of
sharing and caring for others, which can inspire further acts of kindness beyond the event. The
Clean-Up Drive not only improves the local environment but also raises awareness about the
importance of environmental stewardship.
By participating, students learn the value of keeping their surroundings clean, which could
encourage them to take similar actions. For the NSTP 2-A students of Luna Goco Colleges Inc.,
these activities help them to develop leadership, teamwork, and a sense of social responsibility.
They get the chance to make a tangible difference in their community, and the experience might
motivate them to engage in more volunteer work or community-driven projects. This project
proposed by the students, will have a positive impact on the community and the personal growth
students gain can leave a lasting impression.
d. Coverage of the Projects
Our community service initiative encompasses a comprehensive cleanup drive and a feeding
program for the youth. The cleanup drive targets various residential areas and undisturbed regions
of Guinobatan, Calapan City and involves the collection of plastic wastes, rubbish, litters and
leavings present in the areas. This effort aims to enhance the aesthetic appeal and environmental
health of the community.
The feeding program provides rice porridge (lugaw) and later distributes donated ice cream
to children aged four to twelve. This initiative aims to address food insecurity by ensuring that
vulnerable individuals have access to nutritious meals. Additionally, the program features a series
of games that entertain the children, with food prizes as rewards.
Together, these efforts contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment while promoting
social responsibility and community well-being. Through collective efforts and compassion, we can
make a lasting difference in the lives of children and create a brighter future for the community.
Methodology
The project will be done through a systemic distribution of tasks among the students. For the
first day, groups of five will cover a sufficient area within the barangay where they will collect
pieces of scraps, rubbish and wastes.
The wastes they collect may only include those that they are able to pick-up by hand or swept
and only those that can be piled into a garbage bag. All the filled up garbage bags will be compiled
into one spot before being turn over to the Barangay's Material Recovery Facility. Shortly after the
clean-up drive, the students will be tasked to interview residents or community volunteers that may
have family members that are able to partake in the feeding program which takes place on the
second day of activities. Along with this, possible beneficiaries will be informed of the details
pertaining to the event. On the second day, the preparation of the meals to be distributed amongst
the target beneficiaries in the Barangay will take place a few hours before the start of the progräm.
The students will help each other in the cooking. packaging and the transport of food from their
kitchen to the venue.
Students will assist in distributing packaged foods throughout the remainder of the program

ensuring that each person will have their meals. Throughout the duration of the activities, all
students involved will help in maintaining the cleanliness of the environment by reorganizing
equiptments after each event and actively picking trash that are visible. Regular attendance will be
monitored before the start of the activities.
