THE GOLDEN GOOSE

Narator (1:05): Once upon a time in a village by a pharmacy a mysterious and magical little
man came in search of the most rare of treasures a kind and honest man.
(There is a village near the forest and a mysterious person comes and brings good luck
to those who are lucky)
 Old man (1:15): This act of mine is getting to be quite a pain in the neck. Little village
looks like a good place to set up shop
 Hans (1:25): There you go everybody eat! eat!
(Hans is feeding his chickens)
 Hans (1.27): Well don't I even get a thank you for bringing you your breakfast, a
cockadoodle please
 Hans (1:30): you're welcome, well I better get to my chores now, I wish I could stop and
chat but I have to go to the well
(Hans walked to the well to get water but saw a beautiful flower next to it)
 Hans (1.32): my look how those morning glories are blooming , they're so lovely. (huh)
They've gotten themselves tangled up with the road , if I drop the bucket in the well the
flowers will be ruined, what a pity.
 Hans (1:33): wait a minute what's the matter with me I'll just borrow some water from
the neighbors well I'm sure he won't mind
 Father (2:16): well here he is finally
 Mother(2:18): it takes that much time to draw a single bucket of water
 Hans (2.20): the Rope from the bucket had gotten all tangled up with the morning
glories and I didn't want to ruin them. so I went and borrowed some water from our
neighbors well
 Franz (2:28): No wonder people call you a dunce letting a few flowers cause you so
much trouble
 Hans (2.30): it wasn't any trouble really
 Mother (2.33): Hans, why are you so hopeless when it comes to doing anything helpful
around the house frog doesn’t that way he’s taking some of the burden off your poor
father’s shoulders by going out into the forest and chopping down all of our wood from
now on.
 Hans (2.36): on really Franz you're going to be doing our wood chopping from now on
 Franz (2.40): That’s right hans, father thinks I'm man enough for the job and I couldn't
agree with him more
 Father (2:55): it's time I took advantage of having two sons to help me well one son to
help me. You see at my age I deserve to sit back and relax a bit
 Mother (3:04): hard works bound to make you hungry son so I packed some delicious
cakes for you and for when you're thirsty a bottle of apple cider
(Mother is bringing cake and a drinking bottle for Franz)
 Mother (3:11): now you be careful son
 Franz (3:13): all right I'm off to the forest now father
 Father (3:16): good boy
 Mother (3.19): France is the kind of son that would make any parent proud
 Hans (3:20): I'm sure I can chop down trees too mother
 Mother(3.25): (hasha) you'd have trouble pulling weeds now finish your breakfast
 Old man (3.28): it sounds as though summer is coming
 Old man (3.33) : a good morning young man
 Franz (3.52): what’s an old man like him doing in the forest? What do you want?
 Old man (3.55): Excuse me you seem like a nice young man like a nice young man.
 Franz (3.58): I’m a busy young man. I haven’t time to talk
 Old Man (4:00): Please I'll make it worth it to you that bag you're carrying. I guess that
you would have some cake in there and perhaps some cider - ah I'd be so grateful if
you'd share a little bit of it with me
 Franz : well of all the nerve this happens to be my lunch
 Old man : I haven't had a thing to eat of a drink since yesterday evening please I
wouldn't ask for much
 Franz : no what am I supposed to do starve all day
 Old man (4.24): would you even share a crumber –
 Franz : huh go and pester someone else old man leave me alone
(Franz then left the old man)
 Old man: hear me what a greedy and unpleasant young fellow that ears
(The old man turned into a small body again and slept in his sack)
 Old man (4.31): I can't say I'd be sorry if something were to happen to him out here in
the forest
 Franz (4:56): I'm a born woodsman it's quite easy for someone like me
 Old man (4:57): hmm I thought I heard something but I must have been dreaming
 Father (5:05): don't worry Franz these things happen
 Mother (5:07): next time be careful
 Father (5:10): Oh well, that’s that guess it’s up to me after all
 Hans (5.13): wait let me try chopping wood today father
 Father (5.17): don't be ridiculous
 Franz : oh .. HAHAHA
 Hans (5.18): I'm sure I'd be able to do it
 Franz (5.25): when it comes to cutting down trees you're a babe in the woods
 Father (5:29): now listen chopping wood is serious business Hans you saw what
happened to your brother and frankly he's twice the man you are
 Hans (5.36): what father
 Mother (5:37): Hans, we've tried that before remember what happened the last time we
let you chop wood in the forest
 Mother (5:40): it was a complete disaster
(While remembering the incident of Hans cutting down the tree at that time)
 Hans (5.44): I think this one’s almost ready mm-hmm
(Hans looked up the tree as he cut the tree in half)
 Hans (5.49): I’d better move that nest before those birds get hurt
(Hans climbs a tree)
 Hans (5.50): don’t you worry I’Il save you
(And the tree broke and fell on the hut in the middle of the forest so that Hans was
also injured.)
 Hans (6.03): safe and sound help out that you
 Mother (6:05): you were supposed to be chopping down trees not demolishing that
Shepherd's cottage.
 Mother (6:09): you better stick to drawing water from the well, that's much less
dangerous
 Hans (6.14): but I'm sure I'll do a good job this time and that shepherd's hut isn't there
anymore so I don't see how I could damage anything
 Father (6.18): hans as a point he can't break something to stop there
 Mother (6.23): ah there he'll hurt himself
 Father (6.24): I've decided to let him give it a try and besides if heaven forbid the boy
does hurt himself he might just learn something from it
 Franz (6.30): yes you're right father. He just might
 Hans (6.34): thanks father you won't be sorry
(father lit a cigarette and hans took an axe to chop wood)
 Hans (6.40): Ready! Mother have you made my lunch?
 Mother (6.42): Yes.yeah
 Hans (6.44): is that supposed to be my lunch a bottle of water and a hunk of stale bread?
what happened is that delicious cake of yours in the apple cider?
 Mother (6.51): You ought to be grateful I gave you anything at all.
 Old man (6.55): hello young man
 Hans (6:57): Oh good afternoon to you sir is anything the matter
 old man (6:59): I'm an old man who hasn't had anything to eat or drink since yesterday
evening and I was wondering if you might be willing to share some of the cake concider
you have in your bag
 Hans (7:07): I'm afraid you going to be a bit disappointed sir. Ther’s only some day old
bread and a bottle of water in this bag but what I’ve got I am more than happy to share
 Old man (7:16): what a very kind young man. You are don’t worry about me. I’m not
picky let’s see what you’ve got.
 Hans (7.21): I really am sorry. I wish I had more that. I could offer you.
 Hans (7:25): Huh.. wait a minute
 Hans (7.31): but
 Old man (7:34): I could have swore you seemed rather upset
 Hans (7:37): just surprised pleasantly surprised
 Old man(7:37): I'm very grateful
 Hans (7:38): here have one of these you
 Old man (7:40): thankyou
(Parents and Hans eat and drink together)
 Hans (7:44): have you come to join us for our little picnic?
(Hans saw the birds looking for food and gave them some of their food.)
 Hans (7:51): here good isn't it
 Old man (7:55): I can't thankyou enough
 Hans (8:06): don't mention it
 Old man (8:07): oh really a very remarkable young man it doesn't everyone who would
share his feast especially with somebody who was a complete stranger
 Hans (8:19): well when I see people who need help I try to help them
 Old man (8:21): Please let me do something to repay you
 Hans (8:23): don't worry about it really
 Hans (8:24): well so long, take care of yourself l
 Old man (8:26): listen young man just up ahead you'll find a twisted old elm in a
clearing try chopping it down you may find something wonderful inside.
 Hans (8.33): find something wonderful like what hey old man where did you go
 Hans (8:42): that's funny he was here a minute ago or was I dreaming
 Hans (8.46): that hurts so it was no dream oh well better get to work
 Old man (8:52): won’t he be surprised what’s that light
(Hans is cutting a tree)
 Hans (9.05): what's that light?
(Hans was dazzled by the light and asked himself)
 Hans (9:09): could that be the elm tree the old man was telling me about it
 Hans (9:24): certainly looks old and it's certainly twisted and there are no other trees
like the one he described could it be true what he said well I suppose there's only one
way to find out though
(Hans while continuing to try to cut wood in the forest)
 Narrator (9.22): Hans had no good reason to believe what the old man had said he also
had no reason to disbelieve it and though he couldn't explain it was strangely certain that
the old man was telling him the truth. chopping down the elm tree proved a difficult and
time-consuming task but Hans felt certain somehow that in the end his papers would be
rewarded
 (in the end the wood can be cut by hans)
 Hans (10.05): I finally done it yes sir I'm a real woodsman at last
 Hans (10:08): what's that?
(Hans saw a golden goose behind the cut tree)
 Hans (10:10): it's impossible a goose at a tree
 Hans (10:13): I can't believe my eyes , oh my, this is incredible
(The golden goose approached Hans and Hans carried it)
 Hans (10:26): Oh! but you're so heavy. You're made of gold that's amazing.
 Hans (10:28): of course the old man he told me I find you he said I'd find something
wonderful and he was right
(Hans took the golden goose walking into town, then there were 3 hotel waiters who
saw Hans carrying the golden goose.)
(The innkeeper's three daughters try to steal the golden feathers from the swan)
 Waitress 1: Huh! The golden goose
 Waitress 2: just one of its wings would meet the three of us rich
 Waitress 3 (10:48): if only we could get our hands on it somehow
 Waitress 2 (10:49): yes!
(The waitress ran over to Hans)
 Waitress 2 (10:50): excuse me sir, my sisters and I would be honored if you'd stay at our
invite for the night.
 Hans (10:57): where are
 Waitress 2 (10.58): the Sun is going down as you can see and the roads aren't safe at
night, there are great many robbers and highwaymen hereabouts that marvelous bird
under your arm would make you a perfect target for them. The safest thing for you
would be to spend the night at our Inn and leave in the morning
 Hans (11.11): but I haven't anything to pay for the room
 Waitress 2 (11:14): Oh that's perfectly all right. You'll be our guest
(The waitress invited Hans to come in and stay at the hotel)
 Hans (11.17): you're very kind
(One evening Hans was served with a lot of food)
 Hans (11:22): I can't believe my eyes what a feast is all of this food really for me
 Waitress 3(11.27): all for you
 Hans (11.28): I'm a lucky man.
 Waitress 2 (11.33): if you like I'll take care of your goose for you while you're eating.
 Hans (11.35): thanks but you needn't bother I enjoy taking care of him
(The three daughters of the innkeeper enter a room to talk and plan something.)
 Waitress 1 (11:43): what are we doing won't let go of it
 Waitress 2 (11.43): let's just steal the bird away from him
 Waitress 3 (11.46): no, first we'll wait for him to fall asleep
 Hans (11.49): my what a feast. it s even better than anything mother ever made
 Waitress 1 (11.52): with all that food inside him he's certain to become drowsy
 Waitress 2 (11:55): do you really think it'll work
 Waitrss 1 (11:56): yes of course
 Hans (11.58): that was scrumptious, have you fallen asleep beginning to feel the same
way myself
(Hans was sleepy and slept in his room leaving the golden goose on the dining table)
 Waitress 3 (12.33): hurry let's pluck the feathers off his wings
 Waitress 2 (12.34): there's solid gold we're going to be the richest girls in the film
 Waitress 1 (12:38): I can't wait not going to get away with the helmets we can stop
pretending
(The waitresses wanted to take the golden goose but they couldn't catch the goose)
(When they wanted to take the golden goose, their action failed because the hands of
waitress 1 and the others were stuck and couldn't be removed from the goose)
(and the 3 waitresses were sad)
(When morning came, Hans woke up from his sleep)
 Hans (13.34): now that's funny oh we probably just went out for a drink of water , now
I'm sure I'll find him outside in the yard.
 Hans (13.41): there he is, how did he come to be out here with all of you?
 Waitress 2 (13.44): oh never mind that that's not important just help us get unstuck
 Hans (13.46): unstuck? what do you mean by that?
 Waitress 1 (13.48): it started when helda picked up your goose she got stuck and then
our hands got stuck to her it's your goose do something
 Hans (13.54): you've gotten yourselves into a pickle but I can't help wondering what you
were doing with him in the first place
 Hans (14:03): let's see now you weren't trying to steal his feathers were you?
 Reverend (14:09): heavens old father I'm such a fool
 Reveerend son (14:12): look at that!
 Hans (14:14): good morning Reverend, how are you today?
 Reverend (14:20): Oh Saints preserve us those shameless young women clinging on to a
man and in broad daylight too hmm
 Reverend son (14:26): wait father come back hold on there
 Reverend (14:35): wait a minute something's wrong I can't pull my hand away switches
back the other way bless me what's happening
 Hans (14:38): oh no now the Reverend is stuck as well
 Hans (14:46): stay calm everyone and somehow we'll get unstuck
 Reverend (14:47): what in heaven's name is this all about?
 Hans (4:49): these sisters are stuck together you see we were on our way to the village
hospital hoping to find some way of separating them
 Reverend son (14.55): I see father we'll be late for the service
 Reverend (14:57): pardon me you farmers over there
 Farmer (15:05): yes!
 Reverend (15:01): I wonder if you could help pull all of us a part
 Farmer (15:02): I certainly glad to
 Hans (15:06): know you must have come near us
 Hans (15:08): you must have touched them or you'll be stuck as well
 Reverend (15:09): nonsense step right up my fine fellows and take a good grip one
strong tug and we'll be unstuck
 Farmer (15:15): just say when. Huh?! hey wait for me what the oh my I'm starting.
 Hans (15:23): I tried to warn you but you wouldn't listen to me. Well it can't be helped I
just hope the village pharmacist can find a way to help us out
 Reverend (15:30): but we can't just up and leave our farm?
 Farmer (15:30) that's right we have fields that have to be plowed today
(3 waitress, reverend and farmer terjatuh jetika hans melepas angsa)
 Hans (15:41): now then if there are no more objections
(Ketika hans mengangkat angsa, Mereka justru terjatuh semua)
 Hans (15:51): I think there must be a better way of doing this listen everyone let's walk
together on my count here we go. Right! Right! Right! Right!
 Hans (15:59): Left! Right! Left! Right! can you tell me where we can find the
pharmacist please right at the corner
 Pharmacy (16:38): what a peculiar affliction? hmmm
 Waitress 1 (16:38): be careful!
 Pharmacy (16:41): I might have just the right potion for this of course keep in mind it
cost a good deal
(apoteker meneteskan ramuan ke tangan waitress yang pertama mengambil angsa)
 Pharmacy (16:48): let's see now! this will never work perhaps if we tried one a bit more
expensive
 Servant (16:58): that won't be necessary the king has ordered that they be escorted to the
palace at once
 Hans (16:59): what does run with us
 Servant (17:09): your majesty these are the people who are creating such a fuss in the
village
 Hans (17:10): look there it's the princess , what a beautiful girl but what a sad
expression she has on her face
 Servant (17:20): I'll tell you this is outrageous
 Hans (17:21): we were merely bowing to the king but we'll get up if you like. why don't
we start with you people at the back!
 Farmer (17:28): I suppose it'd be nice
 Hans (17:28): slowly now careful
 Prince (17.33): Young man, I want to talk to you.
 Hans (17:38): are you referring to me your majesty?
 Prince (17:34): yes, I would be very much interested in seeing the sort of performance
you gave in the village this morning
 Hans (17:44): performance sire what do you mean?
 Servant (17:47): don't try to deny it we all know about your foolish antics
 Hans (17:49): that wasn't a performance I was merely trying to keep everyone from
tripping over each other's feet.
 Prince (17:51): I understand it was quite amusing. that's why I want you to repeat it
home for many years. my daughter has suffered from a strange malady she can neither
laugh nor smile
 Hans (18:01): my how terrible that must be for her no wonder your daughter looks so
sad your majesty
 Prince (18:06): from what I've heard sir you might be the only one who can help her
(hans menunjukkan aksi sendiri dengan ekspresi wajahnya yang berubah-rubah
kepada tuan putri)
 Hans (18:21): this is going to be more difficult than I thought your highness
 Prince (18:24): as her father I beseech you please help her if you can
 Hans (18:27): I'm going to need help solving this problem
(Hans mengajak teman-temannya untuk melakukan sayembara dengan melakukan
aksi Bersama kepada tuan putri)
 Hans (18:33) : well everybody you heard what the king said anyone have any ideas how
we might cure the princess? wait a minute I've got it
 Hans (18:43): let's try dancing just follow my lead
 Waitress 1 (18:43): you must be joking how embarrassing
 Reverend (18:46): absolutely not!
 Servant (18:46): be quiet would you prefer to do your dancing in the Royal dungeon
 Waitress (18:51): oh no sir
 Reverend (18:52): Hi, men!
 Hans (19:02): everybody all together now one and A two and A one now watch it what
is he up on your feet now and everyone get those legs up let's all show the princess how
to have a good time care to join us your highness come now princess don't be shy you
can do it you can do it what's that I hear come on everybody let's show the princess our
grand finale okay
 Princess (20:12): HAHAHA!
 Hans (20:15): everybody we made the princess laughs, hooray!
(Applause)
(akhirnya angsa emas terlepas dari tangan-tangan yang menempel setelah berhasil
membuat princess tertawa)
Hans (20:15): now that everybody troubles are over it’s time we had ourselves a real
dance. A dance celebration.
(tiba-tiba princess datang dan memegang Pundak hans)
 Princess (20:21): how can I ever thank you
 Hans (20:22): the pleasure was mine our
 Prince (20:23): darling child she's herself again
Narator (20:35): and so Hans and the princess were married and the entire kingdom and
rejoiced. the magic of the Golden Goose brought joy into the lives of everyone in the land
and as for the magical little man
 Old man (20:45): well I wonder what village I should visit next! get back in there I'll
cook your horse
Narrator (20:53): he went in search of another kind an honest man to spread the magic of
the wonderful Golden Goose
