I. Objectives At the end of the lesson, the pupils should
be able to:
1. Count numbers by 2s, 5s, and 10s up to
100.
2. Identify number patterns in skip
counting.
3. Participate actively in skip counting
activities.

Materials: Number chart, clothespins with
numbers, flashcards, counters
(coins/buttons), worksheets, crayons,
crown cutouts, video/song
III. Procedure
A. Preparation - Prayer
- Greetings
- Checking of attendance
- Review through a skip counting song by
2s
B. Motivation Teacher shows 10 apples and asks:
“If I group these apples in 2s, how many
groups do I get?”
Expected answer: “Five groups!”
Teacher introduces skip counting.
C. Presentation Teacher shows a number chart from 1–100.
Teacher: “Let’s count by 2s: 2, 4, 6...”,
Then tries 5s: 5, 10, 15...,
And 10s: 10, 20, 30...
Asks: “What pattern do you notice?”
Expected answer: “They all end in 0!”
D. Group Activity “Clothespin Counting”
Group 1: Pin numbers counting by 2s
Group 2: Pin by 5s
Group 3: Pin by 10s
Teacher observes and asks questions about
their output.
E. Guided Practice Distribute snake-path worksheets.
Teacher: “Color the numbers that follow
the 2s pattern.”
Later, “Now switch to 5s.”
Students follow directions using crayons.
F. Generalization Teacher asks: “What did we learn today?”
Expected answer: “Skip counting by 2s, 5s,
and 10s.”
Teacher reinforces observed patterns and
strategies.
G. Evaluation Answer the following:
1. What comes after 20 when counting by
5s?
2. Fill in the blank: 2, 4, ___, 8
3. 10, 20, ___, 40
4. True or False: 55 is in skip counting by 5s
5. Circle the correct pattern: 2, 3, 4, 5 or 2,
4, 6, 8
H. Application / Performance Task “Skip Counting Crowns”
Pupils design and decorate paper crowns
with skip counting patterns (by 2s, 5s, or
10s) and wear them during a short parade
around the classroom.
IV. Assignment Count objects at home using skip counting.
Example: Count stairs by 2s or clap hands
by 5s.
Write about the experience to share the
next day.
