SYLLABUS
UNIT-I:DISCRETE TIME SIGNALS and SYSTEMS,Applications of Z-Transforms
Elementary Discrete time signals, Classification of Discrete Time Signals, Classification of
Discrete Time Systems, Operations on Signals, multi rate signal processing: Decimation,
interpolation, sampling rate conversion,convolution, Realization of Digital Filters: Direct fon-1,
Direct form-II and Cascade form.

UNIT-II: DISCRETE AND FAST FOURIER TRANSFORMS


Discrete Fourier Transform, Properties of DFT, Circular Convolution of Sequences. Comparison
of FFT and DFT, FFT Algorithms, Radix-2 Decimation in Time (DIT) Algorithm, and Radix-2
Decimation in Frequency (DIF), IDFT using FFT Algorithm.

UNIT-III: IIR FILTER DESIGN TECHNIOUES
