Hello Dr.
Sherif,
Hope everything is well,
It's a bit of a long time since our last conversation, but some major events have taken
place.
I'm now in my 8th month with K-Line. I passed with a mix of the perfect and critical
moments, getting some different experiences that showed me some aspects I should
consider on both professional and personal levels. Honestly, Choosing to join K-Line
instead of the other offers then was aligned with my mid-long-term career plans for the
following reasons:
1. As I told you Doc. Sherif, HR, Craig, (Actually everyone I spoke with for a long
here) I am determined to stay years here in K-line, It won't be ever a short trip.
2. I am confident this place will give me the opportunity for remarkable success
stories.
3. I need to build a respected Career Progression here, Currently, I'm a Senior
Product Manager, and I plan for more leadership roles to be one of the key
resources of K-Line in the Product Management Division that takes the initiative
to add real value for our customers and my internal colleagues.
4. For personal/professional reasons, I'm planning to relocate to Germany. One of
my 2025 Career goals that I'm preparing to achieve. Once I got the K-line
Opportunity, I thought it would be a very effective step toward this goal.
During these 8 Months in K-Line, There were some remarkable events:
• Contract: Until the moment I didn't have any contract, and it was quite shocking
for me that I would not be under the K-Line entity. There were many confusing
points in this part I realized in practice within my first weeks. This unclarity was
shocking due to my mentioned plans of Relocation.
• The offered Salary: It was way below my last Salary, but as illustrated above I
chose K-Line and chose to prove my deserving of adjustment according to the
fair market range through my performance and the Managers' Evaluation.
• Changing of my Direct Line Management. This came with some bad impact on
me, I admit that this was unintentional., but this impacted me on some levels.
o Requesting Training
o Requesting any stuff related to my career in K-Line
o The SOPs that I should be part of, and How I should be involved. Some
initiatives that are mainly require being part of it but I didn't.
• Overall Impact on My Career Plans: I'm so keen on a win-win relationship
wherever I work. I can pay 200% - and more- of my efforts to the place I
"belong",
I love belonging to K-Line on both professional and personal levels, So, being aligned
on a long-term plan is so beneficial in achieving a win-win situation. Highlighting the
raised points is just to find a way for a clear answer considering the win-win agreements
that can help in clearly determining the following points:
• Relationship with K-Line Europe. How to be achieved seamlessly
o Contract
o Salary
o Relocation
o Roles & Resposibilties
• Career Progression,
o What will K-Line expect from The Software Product Management
Department under clearly defined and announced SOPs
o How it will look like
o Mentorship & Coaching
o My Areas of Improvement Plans (Based on the above point)
Finally, I want to thank you for your time, support, and usual care of listening to
your employees.
