Principal’s Message
Dear Madam/Sir,

Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Kanpur is hosting its 11th Annual Inter-School
Model United Nations Conference on 16th and 17th May, 2025, with the theme of the
conference being "The Future of Multilateralism: Strengthening International
Institutions in a Divided World."

With its eleventh monumental edition, the conference serves as a platform to promote
global consensus, diplomacy, and collective problem-solving. Bearing in mind the
recurring communal fallouts and challenges in dispensing justice, we believe it
essential for delegates to develop sustainable solutions to global challenges based on
the principles of consultation, inclusion and solidarity.

At Seth Anandram Jaipuria Model United Nations, we strongly believe that it is

essential to educate the younger generation towards issues of social cohesion and
global significance, thereby equipping them with the skills necessary to make the
world a better place to live in. Over the past decade, SAJMUN has emerged as a
prominent platform for intellectual discourse and productive dialogue. Each edition
stands as a testament to our commitment to nurturing diplomacy, leadership, and
global citizenship among our delegates, as we proudly contribute to a better future. In
addition to this, the Jaipuria MUN Club takes pride in taking up initiatives to work
towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations. Some
of our initiatives are:

1. All leftover food from our conference will be distributed to children in nearby
slums, supporting SDG 2: Zero Hunger
2. Every year, the secretariat sponsors the conference fees of a few underprivileged
children, keeping in mind SDG 4: (Quality Education).
3. At SAJMUN 2025, we are committed to a strict “No-Plastic” policy. Most
conference materials will be made from recyclable materials, and all waste paper from
this year’s conference will be recycled to prevent waste.
We eagerly await your active participation in the conference and will be obliged to
have you as our guest.

Regards,
Mrs. Shikha Banerjee

A letter from the MUN
Coordinator
Dear Delegates,

It is my greatest pleasure to welcome you to the eleventh edition of Seth

Anandram Jaipuria Model United Nations (SAJMUN). What began as an intra-
school event has now blossomed into one of the most prestigious conferences in
the city. The Secretariat is working relentlessly to ensure that SAJMUN 2025
surpasses all expectations.

Every year, we bring together over 500 enthusiastic students from the region,
creating an incredible platform for not only engaging debates but also for
brainstorming solutions to some of the world’s most pressing problems. Here,
you’ll gain insight into international diplomacy and have the chance to interact
with influential regional leaders who are making a difference.

This year, we are excited to present an array of diverse and unique committees,
ensuring there is something for everyone, regardless of background or experience.
Our team of committee directors, each bringing their own perspective and
expertise, is eager to witness the innovative ideas and solutions that you, as
delegates, will propose.

At SAJMUN, we believe that the experience outside of the committee sessions is

just as important as the debates in the rooms. Take the opportunity to connect
with your chairpersons, explore the venue, and network with fellow participants.
With chairpersons coming from various educational backgrounds and all adept at
what they do, we are proud of our institution’s commitment to excellence.

On behalf of the entire Jaipuria fraternity, I am thrilled to host you in Kanpur.

This May, let us all strive to conceive, concur and convince to the best of our
individual abilities.

Warm regards,
MUN Coordinator,
Dr. Manisha Dwivedi

Dear Delegates,
Greetings!

It is with immense pleasure that we welcome you to the eleventh edition of the Seth
Anandram Jaipuria School Model United Nations.

With each passing year, we strive to organize a conference that challenges the
conventional norms often associated with Model United Nations while simultaneously
fostering a decision-centric environment.

affect the global community, explore diverse perspectives on urgent global matters,
participate in multi-faceted dialogues, and hone their diplomatic skills. Working
collaboratively with fellow delegates, we aim to devise practical solutions for the
problems faced by millions worldwide.

We hope to honour our tradition of providing an academically centred and intellectually

enriching experience for all the delegates, following the footsteps of the ten
magnanimous conferences which precede us. We sincerely hope to be able to give to you
an insight into the essential mechanisms that drive the United Nations Organization to
fight for peace worldwide and further your ardour for being a global citizen.

Here, at Seth Anandram Jaipuria Model United Nations, we give to you the opportunity
to speak and be heard. We give you a platform to express your views and opinions. We
give you an experience that enriches you and empowers you to go out into the world and

#SDGS 2030 : Our efforts
for sustainability
Keeping in mind the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) laid by the
United Nations, the Seth Anandram Jaipuria Model United Nations Club
has decided to undertake several endeavours working towards upholding a
sustainable future.

1. At SAJMUN 2025, we will be following a very strict "No-Plastic" policy

wherein the majority of our conference material will be made from
recyclable material.

2. At this year's conference, we will strive to curb the usage of single-use

plastic water bottles.

3. All waste paper accumulated at our conference this year will be sent for
recycling to prevent any wastage.

4. Every year, the secretariat sponsors the conference fees of a few

underprivileged children, keeping in mind the fourth Sustainable
Development Goal (Quality Education).

5. There is a longstanding tradition of SAJMUN wherein the members of

the club visit under-resourced schools to provide technical and vocational
training to the students.

6. To curb any form of food wastage, all leftovers from our conference will
be distributed to the children living in nearby slums supporting the second
Sustainable Development Goal (Zero Hunger).

7. A part of the conference material this year will be made out of seed
paper that can be planted. This initiative was undertaken to support the
thirteenth Sustainable Development Goal (Climate Action).

A saga of finesse:
Seth Anandram Jaipuria School
In 1974, the dreams of Shri Seth Anandram Jaipuria ji were transformed into reality.
A reality which has stood tall in the form of a yellow school building for more than
5 decades. The school was started with the aim of imparting quality education to
young minds that would be responsible for shaping the country's future. And so it
did. In the heart of every Jaipurian are instilled, the timeless, eternal and humanistic
values which reside in every brick of this institution.

With the foundation stone having been laid by Smt. Indira Gandhi, the then
Prime Minister of India, and inaugurated by Fakkruddin Ali Ahmed, the then
President of India, the school has led the parade in every sphere, be it academics
or co-curriculars. In just 5 decades, we have managed to place ourselves in the
upper echelons of the education society. The Golden Jubilee celebration of the
school was graced by the presence of Shri Jagdeep Dhankar, current Vice-
President of India.

Being experts at everything we do has been the school's forte. Our proficient
students have carved their names on the peaks of excellence not only in
academics, but also in debates, declamations, national-level athletic meets,
entrepreneurship competitions, arts and crafts and Model United Nations
conferences.

The school aims at the holistic development of its student fraternity. Staying true
to this ideal, the school has been associated with The British Council, an
international organization for cultural relations and educational opportunities.
Under the umbrella of this association, the school participates in a plethora of
diverse events and competitions organized by the Council. Moving beyond the
conventional classroom, to a better and more interactive way of learning forms
the basic aim of the British Council.

Seth Anandram Jaipuria School is not just an institution- it is home to the

dreams of thousands. We sincerely hope to extend our family each year, and
nurture the students into better and aware citizens of the nation, such that they
caress the skies of glory in all that they undertake.

SAJMUN: The Legacy
Seth Anandram Jaipuria Model United Nations Club is synonymous with
finesse, proficiency and diplomacy. With every passing year, we ameliorate
ourselves. Extra MUNing classes, mock parliament sessions and regular
MUN workshops are organized for the impeccable MUNers of our
institution. With every initiative, we try to stir a feeling of benevolence- a
feeling, that is dying with every passing day.

The driving force for our club is the growth of every member from being a
Jaipurian, to being an Indian and finally, a global citizen. In this idea, lies
the beauty of our club.

Seth Anandram Jaipuria Model United Nations Club after arduously

working unofficially for 3 years was established in the academic session
2017-18. Our objective is to leave no stone unturned in giving our aspiring
MUNers the best platform to present their diplomacy skills. Not only have
we been a part of various conferences but have also brought laurels for our
school by winning in some of the country's best Model United Nations
conferences. The Harvard Model United Nations and the Indian
International Model United Nations to name a few.

Purely student-run, with a huge helping hand from the venerable Social
Science department of the school, Seth Anandram Jaipuria Model United
Nations Club hopes to reinvent the image of MUN conferences, from 'fancy
debates' to enriching, academic simulations of the highest quality. It is with
this underlying purpose, that we endeavour to improve the skills of each
person associated with the club.

The Primary idea is to reach the aim of our potential by working with all
we have with the sole expectation of making a change small or big,
somewhere, we will then know that we have managed to accomplish
something. This is our firm belief.
