about Group Discussion
A Group Discussion (GD) is a structured and interactive exchange of ideas among a group of individuals on a specific topic. It is commonly used
in academic, professional, and competitive settings to assess a participant's ability to communicate effectively, think critically, and collaborate
with others. The discussion is typically moderated by an evaluator or facilitator, who observes and assesses the participants based on various
criteria such as content, communication skills, reasoning, and teamwork.

objectives of group discussion

1. Evaluating Communication Skills – GD tests how well participants can articulate their thoughts clearly, concisely, and
persuasively.

2. Assessing Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving Abilities – It helps in understanding how participants analyze a topic, structure
their arguments, and present logical viewpoints.

3. Encouraging Collaborative Thinking – Participants must actively listen, respect different perspectives, and build upon each
other’s ideas.

4. Developing Leadership & Teamwork – The ability to guide a discussion, manage conflicts, and keep the conversation
productive is a key aspect of GD.

5. Enhancing Decision-Making Skills – GDs simulate real-world situations where participants must arrive at conclusions
collectively.
