CATHOLICISM - 2012 Lenten Series
This week's Lenten series will feature the topic "Peter and Paul: The Missionary Adventure". The session runs on Monday evening from 7:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. in the large hall. All are welcome to join!
FEAST OF ST. JOSEPH Monday, March 19th is the Solemnity of Saint Joseph, the Patron Saint of Canada. MASS WITH BISHOP MULHALL - FEAST OF THE ANNUNCIATION Bishop Mulhall will celebrate Mass on Monday, March 26 at 9:30 a.m. at St Francis Xavier Church with the students of St. Joseph High School to celebrate the feast of the Annunciation of the Lord. All members of the parish are invited to this Mass with our Bishop.
ON OUR WAY WITH JESUS: Part Two WE SHARE IN THE EUCHARIST continues this Wednesday, March 21st at 7 p.m. with Show and Tell in the church. LENTEN RETREAT DAY
We hope that you will plan to join us for an inspiring retreat day on the theme of Walking through the Paschal Mystery with Christ on Saturday, March 31, at St. Francis Xavier Parish Hall from 9:30 a.m. 3:30 p.m. Sister Rosemary OToole from The Upper Room Home of Prayer in Ottawa, will gather us around a ritual table and guide us through six reflective teachings on how each of our lives must pass through a cycle of suffering, death, resurrection and transformation into new life in the Spirit. There will be several contemplative pauses and spiritual direction will be available for those who wish. Lunch will be served. All are welcome. Free will offering. Catechetical Programs for Children and Young Adults
Help is needed to cover tranportation of children, photocopies of religious textbooks that are fitting with pariticipating ages, prayer texts, snacks and meals, sleeping arrangements and encouraging special events. This program will enable over 500 youth to participate in this important activity for the survival of Christians in Iraq.

The Sacrament of Penance is available at 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays and 10:00 a.m. on Sundays. Its that time of year again! Next week sees the launch of the 2012 St. Francis Xavier Parish Lottery. The 2011 Lottery netted $6,702.30 for the Parish. We are looking forward to your continuing support and hopefully a successful year in 2012. We thank everyone who helped last year in any way, those who sold tickets, those who bought tickets, and those who are always ready and willing to respond to our requests for assistance.
