Internet Service Provider.

An Internet Service Provider, or ISP, is a company


that gives people access to the internet. You need an
ISP to use the internet at home, school, or work.
They connect your device (like a computer or phone)
to the internet using wires, cables, or wireless
signals.
Types of Internet Service.
• Dial-Up ISPs: Provide slower connections via phone lines (rare today).
• Broadband ISPs: Offer faster internet connections like fiber-optic, DSL,
or cable.
• Mobile ISPs: Use cellular networks (4G/5G) to provide internet on the
go via mobile devices or hotspots.
• Satellite ISPs: Offer internet via satellite for rural or remote areas
where traditional wired connections are unavailable.
Examples of ISP.

• Comcast: A large ISP in the United States, offering broadband


and cable services.
• AT&T: A telecommunications company that provides internet
services, including broadband and mobile internet.
• Verizon: A telecommunications company that offers internet
services, including broadband and mobile internet.
• Spectrum: A cable-based ISP that offers broadband services in
various regions.

• Internet Plans: Various plans with different speeds, data limits, and
pricing.
• Router and Modem Rentals: Some ISPs offer rental options for routers
and modems.
• Technical Support: ISPs often provide technical support for customers

Online Service Provider.

An Online Service Provider (OSP) is a company or


platform that offers services over the internet. Unlike
ISPs, which provide access to the internet, OSPs
offer a range of online services that you can use
once you are connected to the internet.
Communication Services.
• Email: Electronic mail services that enable users to send and receive
messages.
• Instant Messaging: Real-time messaging services that allow users to
communicate with each other.
• Video Conferencing: Online meeting services that enable remote
communication and collaboration.
Information Services.

• Web Browsing: Accessing and viewing websites, web pages, and


online content.
• Search Engines: Online search services that help users find
information on the internet.
• Online News: Access to news articles, publications, and online
media outlets.
Entertainment Services.
• Streaming Services: Online services that provide access to movies,
TV shows, music, and other forms of entertainment.
• Online Gaming: Interactive gaming services that allow users to play
games with others over the internet.
• Social Media: Online platforms that enable users to share content,

• Cloud Computing: Online services that provide access to computing
