Close with Slip Stitch and cut the yarn but be careful to leave enough (~30cm) for sewing the
hole closed.

Lightly fill the trunk and then fill the head with Fibre Fill.

Thread yarn end into needle, weave tail through each of the remaining 6 stitches and pull
tight to close hole. Fasten off and weave in remaining end.

There are different methods to achieve the indents around the eyes and a link to a Youtube
video is included below which uses a slightly different method to ours to achieve the same
effect.

Thread needle with Grey yarn of circa 40 – 45cm length.

Insert needle in from under the trunk (make sure to leave small tail of 5cm – 6cm) and push
out near the left hand side of the right eye.

Insert your needle back into the head on the right hand side of the right eye and back out
underneath the trunk and pull the yarn tight.

Next insert needle back into the head and push out along the right hand side of the left eye,
now insert back into head on the left hand side of the left eye and push out near to where
you started underneath the trunk.

Now hold both sides of the yarn and tighten gradually to create the indent.

Tie a couple of knots and use your crochet hook to pull the knotted yarn tails into the head
and cut any excess yarn.

Thread needle with Black yarn of circa 40 - 45cm length.
Insert needle from underneath trunk (make sure to leave small tail of 5cm – 6cm) and push
out where you’d like to position your first eyebrow, 2 rows above the eye.

Push needle back into head 2 stitches apart to complete the first eyebrow.

Push needle back out where you’d like to position the second eyebrow (2 rows above the
eye) and then push back into head 2 stitches apart to complete second eyebrow.

Extract needle close to where you started underneath the trunk.

Now hold both sides of the yarn and tie a couple of knots.
Use your crochet hook to pull the knotted yarn tails into the head and cut any excess yarn.

Thread needle with Grey yarn of circa 40 - 45cm length.

Insert needle from the back of the first leg (make sure to leave small tail of 5cm – 6cm) and
push out where you’d like to position your first stitch. Keep above the white section.

Push back into the leg within the white section 2 stitches apart.

Push back out of the leg within the grey section 3 stitches apart and then back into the leg
within the white section 2 stitches apart.

Repeat one more time to complete the third stitch.

Slip Stitch to close and cut off the yarn but be careful to leave a long tail for sewing the
ears onto the head.

Tilt the head slightly downwards before

sewing in place.

Before closing completely add more

fibre fill into the neck to ensure the
head doesn’t wobble.

Ears
Position ears to the side of the head and
sew onto the head between rows 5 and 6 from the
top and weave in ends thoroughly.

Tail
