Final Project Details

The final project requires students to design a two-storey residential building or an existing three-story building, focusing on structural analysis and design. Deliverables include architectural and structural plans, as well as detailed structural analysis and design calculations, adhering to specified guidelines and material specifications. Key design elements include load estimations, shear and bending moment diagrams, and reinforced concrete design for beams, columns, and footings.

DETAILS OF THE FINAL PROJECT (GROUP WORK)

Learning Outcomes:
At the end of the project, the students must be able to:
1. Estimate loadings from floor plans to be used in structural analysis, and
2. Apply the concepts in structural theory to analyze the beams and draw its shear
and bending moment diagram.
3. Design the main structural elements by applying the concepts in reinforced
concrete design.
