C: Kahit sobrang tagal na ay kulang parin ang kaalaman natin pagdating sa

HIV at ibang STI infections. Samahan natin si Tristan Dacoco ngayong araw
sa kanyang buhay bilang tao na may STI o Sexually transmitted infection.

SCENE 1: START

-T is depressed-

-He went to a bar to forget his problems-

[Setting: After class, Classroom]

-T is sitting and suddenly someone calls him-

T: Hello? Sino to?

Phone: Nasaan ka Tristan!?

T: None of your concern.

Phone: Bakit ang ingay? Nasa bar ka ba!?

Phone: Malamang may pake ako! Ate mo ako!

T: Pake? Saan? Where were you when I needed you most?

T: Diba? Wala! So don’t come at me saying that you care because you never

SCENE 2: MEETING

-T tried to stand but almost fail because he was drunk-

-He walked till M saw him and tried to help him-

[Setting: Hallway to stairs]

M: Okay ka lang po ba sir?

T: Yes, I’m okay.

M: Do you need help? Mukhan kailangan niyo po eh.

T: No, I don’t need your help!

-D walked away and almost fall on the stairs-

M: Sabi ko sayo sir eh! Muntikan na po tuloy kayong mahulog! Are you okay
po?

T: Sabi ko di ko-

-T got cut off because he lost consciousness-

M: Sir! SIR!

SCENE 3: GET TO TOGETHER

-T woke up in a unfamiliar place-

T: Nasan ako…?

M: Sir! Gising ka na! Teka lang kukuha ako ng tubig!

-M out of came then back with water-

T: Nasaan ako? Sino ka? Teka… May nangyari ba saatin!?

M: Huh!? Sir! No po! Nahimatay ka lang kaya dinala kita dito sa room namin.

T: Ah. Okay.

-T was going to leave-

M: Ay. Ang sungit. Wala manlang thank you?

T: Bakit? Inutusan ba kitang tulungan ako?

M: Hindi.

T: Pala eh.

-T is about to leave when M gave a paper-

T: What is this for? Number mo?

M: Mukha ka po kasing nangangailangan ng kausap. You can… talk to me.

-T just stared and left-

[Setting: Different per S]

S1: T was in his room and thought of calling M so he did.

-T and M is showed talking to each other through phone-

S2: They are eating together as a date.

S3: T is asking M to be his Gf

T: Yes po tita mel. Sobra po kasi yung depression ko that time and nung
nakilala ko po siya. Parang I have someone to lean ba tita mel.

SCENE 4: PREGNANCY
-Months Later-

-M almost lost consciousness-

[Setting: Somewhere outside]

T: Oh, Love. Okay ka lang?

M: Okay lang… Baka pagod lang ako.

-M and T is eating-

-M stands and goes to the Cr-

M: Parang may rashes yung banda dito.

T: I don’t know…

M: Ah! Nag ka chickenpox ka na ba?

T: Hindi pa ata… I don’t remember having it when I was a child.

M: Ay. Baka nga may chickenpox ka.

M: Love okay ka lang?

T: No… ansakit ng ulo ko. I think I have a fever.

T: Yes. On my thighs.

M: Dyan lang?

T: Yes.

M: Magpa-check up ka na kaya love. Baka iba na yan eh. Samahan kita

mamaya after ng work mo.

T: Sure, sunduin kita dito.

SCENE 6: HOSPITAL

[Setting: Clinic or Front Audi]

-Z the doctor is holding the papers-

M: Doc, bakit po hindi parin natatanggal ang rashes niya? Hindi naman po
tatagal ng isang buwan ang chickenpox diba?
Z: No. Chicken pox usually lasts about 4 to 7 days. Maybe a little bit more but
not a month.

M: Edi bakit po yung sakanya, sobra sobra na.

Z: That’s because its not Chickenpox.

M: Po? Edi…

Z: Sir. Have you had sexual interactions with someone?

T: No. The last I did was months ago before my girlfriend got pregnant.

Z: Miss. Do you perhaps have… Genital Herpes?

M: Genital… Herpes? Ano yung doc?

Z: I’ve found out that Sir. Tristan here has symptoms of Genital Herpes and
according to the tests. He does have it.

Z: Basically, Genital Herpes is an Sexually Transmitted Infection that oftens

spread through skin to skin contact.

M: Pero… paano niya po yun nakuha? Kilala ko po si Tristan. Hinding hindi

niya po ako… gagawan ng masama.

T: Indeed. I would never cheat.

Z: That is why I’m asking you Miss. Do you have Genital Herpes?

M: No po. Wala naman po akong symptoms na katulad ng sakanya.

Z: Then we’ll have to do a test on you if you consent it.

[Setting: Same]

-Z comes back and sit infront the two-

T: Doc, what’s the results?

Z: Well… You girlfriend was found positive.

T: Then what does that mean doc?

Z: She might have gotten it from previous sexual interactions and we are
speculating that you got your Genital Herpes from her.

M: Imposible naman po yun doc! Wala po akong symptoms at never din

naman po ako nahilo or nagkarashes.

Z: Some people that has Genital Herpes might have the silent one. Which
means, that you have the virus but you will be showing little to no symptoms
at all. In your case, that’s what happened.

-Silence-

M: Tristan! Sorry… hindi ko sinasadya… hindi ko…

C: So ano yun? Hindi niya alam na carrier siya ng Genital Herpes?

T: No po Tita Mel.

SCENE 8: MEDICAL

-continuation-

T: Its okay. You did not know. Doc, what are the possible effects does this
have on us.

Z: You might have several outbreaks from time to time but there are anti-
viral medications that can help lessen the outbreaks. You might also be
prone to HIV infections so I suggest that you do proper care and health
guidelines.

T: What might be this precautions doc?

Z: Sexual interactions is best avoided but in cases that it might happened. I

suggest that you would use Condoms as it reduce the risk of infections and
might avoid worsening the situation.

T: Is it deadly?
Z: Thankfully, Genital Herpes is not deadly but taking Anti-viral medicine
daily is still recommended as it lowers the risk of other infections.

M: Doc… Buntis po ako… Paano ung anak ko doc…

T: Ah. Yes. Is Genital Herpes hereditary?

Z: To our luck, Genital Herpes is not Hereditary.

M: Salamat sa Diyos!

SCENE 9: BIRTH

[Setting: Room]

T: Malapit ka na manganak. Aren’t you excited?

M: Syempre! Sobrang cute siguro ng anak natin!

T: Dadalhin palang ng nurse. Rest first, love.

-L shows with the baby-

L: Sir here is your baby po.

-Binigay kay M-

M: Nurse, healthy po ba baby namin?

-L is double thinking-

T: Nurse?

L: Uhm… Sorry to say this Ma’am, Sir. But… Your son showed positive for an
STI infection…

M: HUH!?

L: We had to separate your son as we found rashes near his pelvic area and
upon testing, he was positive. Specifically, Genital Herpes.

T: We are Carrier of the said virus but the doctor confirmed that it was not
hereditary.

L: Yes, it is indeed not hereditary.

T: Then why do our baby have it?

L: It is because of Vaginal delivery. We did not have enough time to put you
on C-section as the baby’s head is already protruding when you arrived.

SCENE 10: UNACCEPTABLE

[Settings: Same]

T: Don’t worry love… We will still raise and love him like a normal child. We
can hire a personal doctor to do regular test on him.

-T snatched the baby and the baby cries-

M: Tristan? B-bakit ang aga mo umuwi?

T: Anong ginagawa mo sa baby natin Mira!? Papatayin mo ba siya!?

M: S- sorry Tristan… hindi ko sinasadya…

T: Hindi sinasadya!? Muntikan ng mamatay anak natin! What is happening to

you! This is your child!

M: Hindi ko yan anak!

T: What the heck are you saying Mira!?

M: Hindi ko siya matatanggap!

T: Are you out of you mind!? Is this about Genital Herpes again!? We’ve been
through this so many times!

M: Pwes kung ayaw mong patayin ko ang batang yan edi ako nalang ang
lalayas!

-T was about to follow but the baby cries in his arm-

T: Grabe pong panghihinayang ko noon. Parang bumagsak ung mundo ko.

T: Yes po Tita Mel. Naisip ko po na may anak pa po ako na dapat bantayan.

T: Kristoff, Are you ready for school?

SCENE 13: BULLYING

[Setting: Classroom]

K: Guys!

-K walks closer but C, L, and J walks away-

C: Ew! Huwag mo kaming hahawakan!

J: Hoy! Huwag ka nga mag- maang maangan! May STI ka diba? Yuck kadiri!

SCENE 13: SUSPICION

[Setting: Room]

T: Kristoff! Get ready! I’ll just start the car!

S1: J pushes K

S4: J, L, and C pushes K to the bathroom and pushed his head on the sink
with flowing water.

SCENE 14: SUICIDE

[Setting: Room]

-T comes home-

T: Kristoff! I’m home! Have you eaten?

T: Kristoff?

-T goes to K room but the door is locked-

T: Kristoff! Why is your door locked?

[Setting: Clinic or other]

-K wakes up-

T: Kristoff! Thank God you’re okay!
