1 Application
This document is applicable for the PC board settings of the IPB unit for the FS-2000.

2 PC board types and functionality of the SW

2.1 System Configuration

Each STR and IPB unit has one E13 driver board, and each two STR and IPB unit has one E01
system board in the currency processing machine. In this document, the IPB unit located
downstream (odd number) to be IPB#1(E13#1), and IPB unit located upstream (even number) to
be IPB#2(E13#2).

3 SW notation
SW setting value used in the next chapters is as follow:
(1) DIP-SW
As 1bit side is considered as Least Significant Bit (LSB), use SW symbol “ “as set position.

SW setting “1” SW setting “A” SW setting “F”

(2) Selector SW
There are three types of SW used on the PC boards.

1st type is the selector SW with the figure printed on the board that explains ON/OFF status.
(Example)

OFF ON

2nd type is the selector SW that has no figure on the board, but has mark on the switch itself.
(Example)
S S
E E
C OFF C ON
rd
3 type is the selector SW that has no indication neither on the board nor the switch itself.
Those SW are used on the S7 to S9 locations of the E13 board, and it can be identified by the status
of LED is ON/OFF. (The SW is ON when the selector is directed toward the LED.)
Details are shown on the following page..

In order to visualize the selector SW status, the board is equipped with LED’s. For the details,
refer to the information on Chapter 2. (Depending on the SW, the LED may illuminate with the SW
condition <AND>)
