PRESENTATION REQUIREMENTS
The evaluation of students’ presentations will be mostly based on the following criteria:
1. The informativeness of the presentation (50%): The information mentioned should be
accurate, interesting and useful.
2. The cooperativeness of the presenters (25%): Each group member should play a
considerable part in the presentation and should make it a continuous process with very
smooth transitions between different parts.
3. The performance of each member as well as the entire group (25%): Such things as
presenting manners, voice, visual aids, creative ways of presenting, etc. will also count.
4. Time allowance: each presenter has from 5 – 8 minutes for presenting. All the groups have
about 10 more minutes to carry out a review activity or game.
5. Participation: Give constructive comments and feedback; make relevant and thought –
provoking questions to classmates’ presentations; take part in review games or activities.
6. Slides:
- Slide 1: Title of the presentation topic, the names of the group’s members
- Slide 2: Outline of the presentation
- At the end of the presentation: 1 reference slide, 1 thank you slide.
- Slides’ uniformity: font type, font size, font color, background, layout, etc.
- Slide’s appearance: appropriate for the topic with diverse formats, brief/ condensed, clear,
logically – presented content; all the slides must have titles.
7. Presentation skills:
- Voice, pronunciation, intonation
- Eye contact, postures, gestures, interaction with the audience or the screen
- Delivery of the main points along with elaboration, explanation, definition, exemplification,
illustration, etc.
6. PPT work submission deadline: by 10 p.m every Monday.
