The 3rd Future Tech Event - Accelerating Digital Transformation, Sultanate of Oman’s foremost B2B
and B2G bespoke Technology Event was held on 27 - 28 November 2023, at the Oman Convention
and Exhibition Centre, Muscat.
Future Tech was Under the Patronage of the Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information
Technology, Sultanate of Oman and was supported by the Central Bank of Oman, Telecommunications
Regulatory Authority, Capital Market Authority and Oman Vision 2040, Sultanate of Oman.
It was a definitive meeting place facilitating multi-stakeholder dialogue with power packed networking
opportunities among C-Level executives, leading industry experts, decision makers, policy makers and
government officials from across the value chain to foster collaboration, discuss current challenges,
business opportunities, develop market strategies, share knowledge and identify solutions shaping the
future of technology.
The Tech Event was inaugurated by H.E. Dr. Ali Al Shidhani, Undersecretary for communications
and Information Technology, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology
on 27 November 2023, while the Banking and Fintech Event was inaugurated by H.H. Sayyid Azzan
Bin Kais Bin Tarik Al Said on 28 November 2023.

Vision 2040
Oman’s Vision 2040 Digital Transformation will play an integral role, boost and nearly double to OMR 2.2
billion (USD 5.6 billion) by 2024, up from OMR 1.2 billion (USD 3.2 billion) in 2019, according to a recent
report by the market research firm Global Data.
Future Tech Event remains committed to close collaboration with government entities and the private

The workshop, hosted by The London Institute of Banking & Finance MENA, provided participants with
an overview of AI in the banking industry, exploring its applications, real-world use cases, benefits, and
challenges. It included an ice-breaker activity, a sample case-study session, a real-time problem statement
session, a main session covering key concepts, and a conclusion session with postworkshop tasks. Through
interactive discussions and activities, participants could enhance their understanding and knowledge of AI
in banking, staying informed about the latest advancements in this field.

Topic: Governance of Cybersecurity and AI Risk
The Future Tech Event facilitated dialogue about critical topics facing C-Level executives, industry experts,

by CLASS-LLC highlighted that the most important issues facing corporate directors and the C-Suite
are governance and management of risk related to cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. This training
