🎉 Congratulations on Passing Your Mock Demo! 🎉
Now, you’re on to the final round—your CE (Chinese Evaluator) Demo! Let’s make sure you’re
fully prepared.
Practice & Preparation
✅ Feel free to practice in your Mock Classroom (mute your mic when entering).
✅ Material: Our School (H5)
✅ Material ID: 793111
✅ Once your CE Demo schedule appears on your AC, you can practice in the
classroom instead.
On Your CE Demo Day
✔️Run a Device Detection Test 30 minutes before to check your setup, devices, camera, and
background. Secure everything including electricity, Internet and personal affairs.
✔️Enter the classroom 30 minutes early to practice and wait—it’s always better to wait than to be
late!
✔️For any CE-related concerns, coordinate directly with your CE. Keep communication formal and
professional.
Tips for a Strong Demo
🌟 Use BIG TPRs, rewards, teaching aids, stickers, emojis, and stars on AC.
🌟 Assess your student’s real level in the first 2-3 minutes and adjust accordingly.
🌟 The material is Level 0, but keep it short and simple.
🌟 Drill target words – Don't rush. Give a short, simple sentence for each.
🌟 Slow down & engage – Ensure the student talks and performs. Encourage them to follow.
🌟 Be time-conscious – Some activities can be played twice, but manage your time wisely.
🌟 Practice with a timer – Make sure you can finish all the pages in 20-25 minutes.
🌟 If you're practicing with a buddy, time each other. Try to react naturally, like a real kid would.
🔊 How to share screen and sound in Zoom: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYprFTZE0ug
🌟 Don't anticipate perfect responses. Instead, be sensitive and observant to your student's actual
reaction and response. Adapt accordingly.
🌟 Focus on these pages: 1-14, 17, 25, and 26.
🌟 When reading (or if asked to read), slow down, breathe, and enunciate properly. You need to be
clear, audible, and accurate to pass.
😊 Keep smiling, have fun, and enjoy your demo!
💬 Your CE may contact you via Skype before your demo—stay available.

📌 IMPORTANT TIP!
🔍 Page 11: Get creative! Use a magnifying glass or any circular object—or make your own props if
you’d like!
😃 Smile & Demonstrate First!
🎮 Game Time:
● Show them what to do first.
● You may pretend to give the wrong answer to encourage them to do better and prove you
wrong.
● The student must always WIN—it’s okay for the teacher to act silly and make obvious
mistakes on purpose!
● This builds confidence and encourages young learners to be more eager and proud of
themselves.
💡 Make learning playful and exciting!

Practice reading this story: (Enunciate the sounds. Slow and down and be very conscious.)
On a foggy Tuesday, Timmy, Cindy, Sam, Emma, Phoebe, and Christy visited the zoo for photo
day. The photographer set up a tarpaulin near the elephant and buffalo enclosures. As Timmy
unwrapped his candy, a playful panda tapped his shoulder, making him drop his banana!
“Condolences to your snack,” Phoebe teased, as the buffalo gobbled it up with a loud thhhh.
The teacher quickly checked the category of animals they were going to photograph next. “Hurry!
The weather is changing!” she said. “Look, listen, and smile for the picture!” The photographer
counted, “Three, two, one… click!” But just as he snapped the shot, the elephant sneezed,
sending Timmy’s hair flying like magic! The picture was a funny mess—Sam blinked, Christy
looked confused, and Cindy was stuck mid-chew with her breakfast. “Best Friday ever!” they
laughed. “Thank you, zoo!” 🗣 Use Cambridge Dictionary to listen to the US pronunciation.

Common Mistakes in Demos/ Teaching (and How to Fix Them!)
🚫 Too Many Questions Before Teaching → Asking too much before introducing the word can
confuse students. Follow the "I Do – We Do – You Do" method so they see, understand, and then
try!
📢 Long-Winded Instructions → Keep it short and clear! Simple instructions = better focus and faster
learning.
❌ Not Defining the Word → During "I Do," always define the word. Don’t just repeat it—make sure
students know what it means!
🔄 Skipping Drills → Drills make learning stick! Use:
🎰 Slot Machine Drill (for the second target language)
😃 Emoji Drill (for the first target language)
🔗 Back-Chain Drill (for sentence patterns)
Forgetting Teaching Aids → A picture is worth a thousand words! Use visual aids to make
learning easier and more fun.
📖 Overreading the Wrap-Up Page → Let students read words independently instead of reading
everything for them.
🥪 Skipping the Sandwich Method in Feedback → Always follow this order:
✅ Positive: Praise what they did well
Constructive: Gently correct mistakes
💡 Suggestion: Give advice for improvement
Apply these fixes, bring your A-game, and ACE your demo! Keep the energy high and don’t forget to
smile! 😃
