on my shoulders.
Dermatologist: Since when are you having these symptoms?have you had
Patient: Since last week.
Dermatologist : Are you taking any current medications ?
Patient: No nothing! Even for my spots , I only washed them with soap without taking any
drugs.. I don't like taking medication without my doctor's prescription,
Dermatologist: Good job ! Have you noticed that your hair is growing faster in your armpits
or your mustache ?
Patient: Now that you're mentionning it .. I tend to wax more frequently these days ..Good
point

pull ? interesting !
Patient: Hmm , I can't tell the difference. I am not really sur doctor.
Dermatologist: And how about your period ? Is it regullar ?
Patient : I've always had an irregular cycle !
Dermatologist: I see ! Let me examine you now .
Patient: ok.
****
Dermatologist:So you do have a sever acne : It is a a chronic, inflammatory skin condition
that occurs when your hair follicles become plugged with oil and dead skin cells. It often
causes whiteheads, blackheads or pimples, and usually appears on the face, forehead, chest,
upper back and shoulders. It typically appears on these part of the body because these areas
of skin have the most oil (sebaceous) glands. Hair follicles are connected to oil glands. Good
points !
Patient: Thank you, doctor but can I ask you why am I having it now? I''m not a teenager
anymore very appropriate question
Dermatologist: Well that's the thing .. With all the other symptoms that you have , I'm
suspecting polycystic ovary syndrome
Patient : And what's that exactly
Dermatologist: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a condition that affects a woman’s
hormone levels.Women with PCOS produce higher-than-normal amounts of male hormones.
This hormone imbalance causes them to skip menstrual periods also causes hair growth on the
face and body. Good explantion yet still requires grading
Patient: OH MY GOD ! and is it serious ?
Dermatologist: Under the right treatement no ! But let's not get ahead of ourselves , first we
should get your blood tested for sexual hormones, and come with the report tomorrow.
Patient : ah ok, now i understand more.
Dermatologist: Then I will address you to my collegue a gynecologist
Patient : ok, doctor. And should I change my diet or something ? What should I eat doctor ?
Dermatologist: You should consume/follow a diet that offers a good supply of vitamins A
and E and of zinc.
