Governors Hub: Final Update
Hello Mighty New Jersey District! With preparation for our 66th Annual District Convention coming up in just a few weeks well underway, its bittersweet to say our service year is coming to a close. It feels as though just yesterday we embarked on this Key Club journey together, and ever since its been a roller coaster of success. Each and every one of you has made this service year special and a triumph for one of the greatest districts in all of Key Club International. Something that Ive learned and label as a good quote to live through my Key Club weekends is this: Make the most of it. As youll hear at District Convention, I ask that each of you make the most of it. Whether youre a general member, a club officer, or a club advisor, Key Club is here to enjoy. All of our resources, events, training information, and tools we provide for you to grow as leaders are there for you. Key Club shouldnt be a chore, or something you have to force yourself to do, so simply enjoy your years in Key Club for theyll fly by extremely fast and make the most of it. Thank you, New Jersey, for all of the support youve provided to me, the district board, and our dedicated Kiwanis Committee. All of the screaming at Fall Rally, the bonding at Regional Training Conferences, or even the unforgettable memories you make at each DCON thank you. Youve given me the best Key Club memories any member could ask for. I wish for you to all have as great of an experience as I have, so with that I say to make the most of it! Who: 600 Key Clubbers, Kiwanians, and Guests from all around New Jersey What: Convention of 600+ Key Club members celebrating the end of a great service year and ringing in a new one Where: Ocean Place Resort & Spa in Long Branch, New Jersey When: March 30th-April 1st, 2012 Why: Why not? If youve attended a district convention in the past, youll know DCON is one of the greatest experiences a Key Clubber can experience. Informative workshops, awards sessions, scholarship opportunities, and meeting new people is just a peek into what District Convention is all about.
