ENGLISH

1. Read the English newspaper daily and identify the difficult words and try to know
their meaning from the dictionary. (at least 5 words daily)
2. Write a small conversation between you and your friend on how you are going to spend
your holidays.
3. Write 20 sentences on your own using helping verbs.
4. Write 20 sentences on your own using describing words.
5. Collect a small poem from any newspaper/ magazine.
6. Practice cursive writing (5 pages) in cursive writing book.
7. Learn the syllabus whatever is completed so far.

MATHEMATICS

Instruction: - Below are 5 sample [Link] following the examples, frame 5 questions
of your own for each type with answers to be done in A4 size paper.

1. I am a 4 digit number. My thousands place is number [Link] hundreds place is 2 less


than thousands place. My tens place is 1 more than hundreds place. My ones place is
[Link] am I? Ans: - 8670

2. I have more than two animals at home. All of them are dogs, except for two. All of
them are cats, except for two. All of them are rabbits, except for two. What kinds of
animals and how many of each animal do I have?
Ans :- 3 animals, one dog, one cat and one rabbit.

3. There are 7 girls on a bus. Each girl has 7 bag. In each bag, there are 7 big cats. How
many legs are on the bus, not counting the driver?

Ans: There are total legs are 210.

7 boyes x 7 cats = 49
49 cats x 4 legs = 196
7 girls x 2 legs = 14
Total = 210
4. A milkman has an 8-liter container full of milk, and also two empty containers that
measure 5 liters and 3 liters. He needs to deliver 4 liters of milk to a customer.
The milkman has no other spare containers and no way to mark any containers. He does
not want to pour milk away. How will he measure the 4 liters of milk?
Ans :- Fill the 5-liter container. Pour out from the 5-liter container to the 3-liter one
until it's full. The 5-liter container now has 2 liters left. Pour all the milk from the 3-
liter container back to the 8-liter container. Pour the 2 liters from the 5-liter container
to the 3-liter container. It has therefore just one liter of space left! Fill the 5-liter
container. Pour out from the 5-liter container enough milk to fill the 3-liter container
(which already has 2 liters). You will have 4 liters left in the 5-liter container.

5. A farmer was asked how many ducks he had. "Well," he said, "they ran down the path
just now and I saw one duck in front of two ducks, a duck behind two ducks, and a duck
between two ducks." How many ducks were there?
Ans:- There are three ducks, one in front of another.
