Christian greetings to you and to the members of the search committee.

I am writing to apply for the Instructor I position in your Campus as posted in


your web page Information list. I am currently completing my MAT - Biology at
Quirino State University Main Campus and presently I am a Science Teacher at
Victoria High School. I am extremely interested in this position. As to my
commitment to undergraduate education, interests and experiences with my 9
years as classroom teacher in the public and interdisciplinary research
background make me a terrific fit.

My objective as a teacher is to motivate my students to develop their own


learning interests and critical thinking to establish a learner-centered
environment in the classroom. In particular, teaching a wide range of courses
from first-year to advanced composition of science courses, my teaching career
in the private and public schools in the Department of Education has made me
aware of the needs and interests of a culturally and ethnically diverse student
body. I choose content and activities that are both significant and challenging
for the students so that they are stimulated to think “beyond” their comfort
zone and feel involved in their own learning process. Collaborative learning is
also central to my teaching philosophy in order to promote reflective thinking
and improve the students’ communicative and trans-cultural skills. My
commitment and approach to teaching have been rewarded with the highest
teaching evaluations an instructor can receive: in an institution particularly
dedicated to outstanding teaching, I am consistently among the
OUTSTANDING teachers of our school and in the DepEd as a whole.

I believe that clear, open communication with students is a key element in


helping them learn. Looking back at my own learning experience as a Member
of the Board of Trustees of Quirino State College during my days, I greatly
value the supportive and caring environment that a college like QSC provides
between professors and students. In my prospective career as an Instructor at
this institution, I look forward to working in a collaborative learning and
teaching environment with both faculty and students, where I can develop
courses incorporating innovative teaching techniques and the most recent
theories and research through an interdisciplinary approach

I am very excited about the opportunity of joining Quirino Sate Unioversity


Maddela Campus, and I am enclosing my Personal Data Sheet and other
pertinent papers to support my application. I will gladly provide any other
