• Weather means the state of the atmosphere and its changes


from minutes, to hours, to days, to even weeks. In certain places,
the weather is similar each day but in other places it changes very
frequently. When people talk about weather, they are talking in
the short term: "Will it rain today?", "How hot is it today?", etc.
• Weather is usually thought of as the combination of
temperature, humidity, precipitation, cloudiness, visibility, wind.
• Scientists take careful measurements of the weather to help
them predict what weather change might happen: to see
patterns in the weather and to provide info about it over time.
It is very important to be prepared for conditions like
snowstorms or heatwaves as they can affect various parts of
peoples's day.
• Climate means the weather of a specific place over a long
period of time, usually 30+ years. It is the average weather
in an area and takes very long to change.

• Climate information includes the statistics of weather


information that tells us about the normal weather as well as
the range of extreme weather in a place.
• Weather is affected by factors such as temperature, humidity,
cloudiness, precipitation.

• Climate is affected by two key factors; temperature and


precipitation.
