Materials and Supplies
Brother Quattro 6000D SA188 Open Toe Walking Foot SA5810 Medium Tear Away MTPK14 Brother Metallic Embroidery thread (Pink 991, Blue-988, Green 992) 1 piece LIGHT batting (cut to computers dimensions below) 3 pieces of Faux Suede Upholstery fabric (1) for embroidery (1) for lining (1) for flap Spray adhesive Velcro dots for closure Sewing Thread Embroidery needle 75/11 Sewing needle 100/16 (denim)

Directions
1. Measure the computers width. See Figure 1 2. Measure the computers depth See Figure 2 3. Computer width = 13 inches 4. Computer depth = 1 inches 5. Use the following formula to get the exact amount of fabric needed: Depth x 2 (1 1/2 x 2 = 3) + Width = 3 + 13 = 16

For a 13 wide computer, with 1 inch depth, you would cut 16. 6. Write this measurement down. 7. Measure the height of the computer. Double this number and double the depth to get the length for your fabric. For a 9.5 inch computer. you would multiply by 2 then add 3 inches for the depth. (9.5 x2)+3=22. See Figure 3 8. 9. Hoop medium tear away stabilizer, lightly spray with spray adhesive. 10. Mark the center of the Upholstery fabric from the sides, and measure down 6 inches from the top. This is your center mark. 11. Lay the Upholstery fabric on top of the spray adhesive in the center of the hoop. You will need to have the fabric aligned so that the excess fabric faces the inside of the hoop area. See Figure 4 Note: Raw edge of fabric will face the hoop clamp. 12. Select Embroidery Edit Screen.

Directions for Bag Flap
1. From the extra fabric, cut a piece of fabric that is 1 smaller than the width of the sewn pieces with a depth of 9. Ex: If opening is 13 inches you would cut a piece of fabric 12 by 9. 2. Fold this piece in half widthwise. Put a piece of batting the same size on one half of this piece. 3. Sew sides together with inch seam. 4. Topstitch the flap. 5. Insert the lining inside the front of the bag piece. Flip and Press.

6. On the back side of the bag (no embroidery) insert the flap face down between the bag front and the lining. Match the side seams Pin and stitch around the top of the bag with a seam. See Figure 15 7. Turn the bag press the seams. 8. Tuck the lining into the center of the bag and topstitch if desired. 9. Attach Velcro dots to the flap and the front of the bag for easy closure.
