Understanding and possessing the gates of time.

Introduction

The scriptures make reference to the elements in the heavens i.e. the sun, moon and stars. We
will find out what God created them for, how they influence our lives and how we must deal
with the heavenlies biblically.

The Ordinances of heaven

Genesis 1:6-8, 14-18

We read that when God created the heavens and the earth, He gave each element a role to
play:

 Divide the day from the night

 For signs Matthew 2:1-2, Luke 21:25-26

 For seasons, Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

 Mark days

 Mark years

 Give light upon the earth

 Rule over the day

 Rule over the night

We understand that the elements have both physical and spiritual influence over creation as
referred to in Psalms 19. Their rule influences the cycles of human beings. For instance the
seasons of the moon determine the menstrual cycles of every woman and other forms of life
like the mating of dogs at full moon. The elements can also speak blessings into an individual‘s
life Judge 5:20, Deuteronomy 33:13-14, Joshua 10:12-15, Isaiah 60:20 or bitterness and
hardship into the life of another Psalms 126:6, Isaiah 13:10-11, Ezekiel 32:7-8, Micah 3:6-7 at
the same time.

We should however note that although they were given the right to rule, man was given
dominion to rule over all creation Genesis 1:26-30, Psalms 8:3-6 and Adam lost this right shortly
after, but Jesus Christ reclaimed it at the cross and restored it to His disciples, Matthew 28:18-
20. It is therefore the responsibility of the body of Christ to exercise this authority over the
heavens in faith and in accordance with biblical principles.

Idol worship of the heavens, Leviticus 26:18-20, Exodus 20:4-6, Deuteronomy 4:19

God through the Israelites gave us strict instructions forbidding mankind to worship these
elements. In the subsequent years however, some kings and leaders broke this commandment
2Kings 21:3-5. This worship of the elements polluted the heavens and brought the land and its
people under satanic control. The worship of the elements causes the heavens to speak
barrenness and bitterness on creation. This includes occult practices, engaging in horoscope
practices or even having images of the zodiac signs engraved on our bodies or hung in our
homes and institutions. If there is no repentance and corrective action taken by the body of
Christ to rectify the evils wrought by such actions, 2Kings 23:4-5. God will bring judgment upon
the earth, Jeremiah 8; 1-2.

Prophetic praying into the heavens

The Lord ordained feasts like the new moon and the full moon for the Israelites to celebrate,
2Chronicles 2:4, Psa 81:1-5 and to seek Him through the prophets and seers in the land 2Kings
4:22-23. This period represents the commencement of new lunar activities in the earth. On
such days, we should use some of the above mentioned scriptures to pray, taking authority
over the evil words and legislation that priests of darkness such as the sun, moon and star
worshippers have sought to bring into our lives, communities and nation via their devotions to
the heavenly bodies. By doing so, we will deliver ourselves from many things that would
otherwise overtake us. Deliverance can take place by dealing with the heavens on one‘s behalf
or ours. We should trust God to give us strength, Isaiah 28:5-6, Genesis 22:17.

The concept of seasons, gates and times

Gates of time

The earth keeps time according to longitudes, which are imaginary lines that stretch from the
North Pole to the South Pole separated by degrees. The zero longitude, also referred to as the
Greenwich Meridian Time (GMT) also passes through the city of Tema, Ghana and it is a gate of
time. Midnight occurs at different times depending on where you are on the planet. The
heavens utter speech each day over you, your family, city or nation Psalms 19. It is important to
regulate the heavens that are responsible for ruling the day Psalms 136:8. This is done by
dedicating the day in prayer at Mid-night.

Gate of seasons

The earth keeps seasons according to latitudes and the lopsided movement of the earth around
the sun. This rotation creates effects on earth which we call seasons which is basically seen in
the weather patterns on the earth. Latitudes are imaginary lines that circle round the earth,
sort of perpendicularly to the longitudes and are separated in degrees as you proceed to the
North and South poles. The center latitude is called the Equator. The other main latitudes are
the tropic of Cancer and tropic of Capricorn located towards the North and South Pole
respectively.

When the sun is over the Equator, the days and nights are of equal length. These two days in
the year are called Equinoxes. The one which occurs either on the 20th or 21st of March is
called Vernal Equinox while the one which occurs on either 22nd or 23rd of September is called
Autumnal Equinox.

When the sun is directly over the tropic latitudes towards the poles, we have at alternate times
the longest night/shortest day towards the other pole and vice versa. These two dates are
called solstices. The one for the Northern Hemisphere occurs on December 21st or 22nd each
year and it is called Summer Solstice while in the Southern Hemisphere it occurs on June 20th
or 21st and it is called Winter Solstice and vice versa.

Watches Exodus 14:19

The bible divides time into watches Psalms 63:6. The biblical morning begins at 6:00am in the
morning. This is frequently referred to as the first hour of the day. When Jesus was crucified, it
was the third hour of the day, which is 9:00am. There was darkness from the sixth hour till the
ninth hour, which is 12noon to 3:00pm.

Each watch comprises three hours. The morning and evening watches each have four watches
as illustrated below:

The morning watches

1 6:00am – 9:00am: The first watch of the day

2 9:00am – 12:00noon: The second watch of the day

3 12:00 – 3:00pm: The third watch of the day

4 3:00pm – 6:00pm: The fourth watch of the day

The Evening watches

1 6:00pm – 9:00pm: The first watch of the night.

2 9:00pm – 12:00midnight: The second watch of the night.

3 12:00 – 3:00am: The third watch of the day.

4 3:00am – 6:00am: The fourth watch of the day

Practical points in praying into the gates of time:

1. The Lord of Hosts Isaiah 51:12-19

2. Open heavens

Jesus dealt with the heavens. Pray into the gate of the week and decree the purposes of God
into that week using His word.

3. Terminate whatever the diviners enchanted

Pray strategically at the gates of the watches and undo whatever the witch doctors have
proclaimed into the heavens.

4. Life style:

We need to become disciplined early risers. Wake up and possess the day and night watches.

5. Fasting:

Let us rediscover the power and place of fasting and prayer. The heavens belong to the highest
bidder. If you pay the price for it, you will dictate their speech. The reverse is true.

6. De-program all cycles that were programmed into the heavens. Deal with all the satanic
priesthood. Ask God to change the heavens‘ vocabulary and cancel the cycles / statements that
are affecting us periodically.

Personal Character requirements for dealing with the heavens

Dealing with the heavens requires that we develop certain characteristics before we can affect
the foundations and events in the earth as mentioned above.

1.A battle (military) disposition or inclination as a Christian Isaiah 51:15.

2. A relationship of intimacy with the Divine that results in being covered in the shadow of
God‘s hand. We need to love the Lord.

3. The Word of God as placed by God himself in our mouths. We need to seek God in His Word
and engage in meaningful word study Jeremiah 1:9.

Biblical examples of men who dealt with the heavens

JOSHUA : Joshua 10:5-14

Joshua spoke to the heavens and commanded the sun and moon to stand still and they obeyed
him.

DEBORAH :Biblical examples of people who dealt with the heavens

1. In the day of Moses Exodus 7-10

The very first plague was in the waters Exodus 7:14-18, then on the land and finally in the
heavens. The children of Israel were in light while the kingdom of Egypt was in darkness. Every
plague was a judgment against the gods of Egypt. The reason for the plague of darkness Exodus
10:21-29 was to set the children of Israel free to go and worship God, Exodus 10:24.

Deuteronomy 32:1-3

Moses used the heavens to enforce God‘s mandate on the children of Israel through both
doctrine and speech. Even God testifies about him, Numbers 12:3, Psalms 103:7.

2. In the day of Deborah Judges 4

For twenty years, the children of the Lord were held in captivity until Deborah arose as a judge.
Deborah must have prayed into the heavens because something happened that disorganized
Sisera vs.15 in the valley. We too have to learn to deal with wars in prayer.

Judges 5:20-23
When Deborah the prophetess led the willing volunteers of Israel to battle, even the heavens
fought against their enemies.

3. In the day of Elijah 1Kings 17:1-24,18: 16-46

The word of the Lord came to Elijah to pray and lock up the heavens such that there was no
rain. He had to contend with the heavens again to release the rain vs. 42-44 after the Lord had
dealt thoroughly with Baal.

4. In the day of Joshua Joshua10: 1-15.

On this day, the Lord gave the Amorites over to Israel, Joshua prayed to the Lord in the
presence of Israel asking God to let the sun stand still over Gibeon and the moon over the valley
of Aijalon and it was so vs. 12-14. The Lord hurled hailstones down on the enemies of Israel and
Gibeon and more people died because of hailstones than those who were killed by the sword
Vs 11.

5. In the day of King Hezekiah 2Kings 20:1-11,

Isaiah 38:1-22 King Hezekiah fell ill and God sent prophet Isaiah to tell him to prepare for his
impending death. Hezekiah turned to prayer and petitioning before God. The Lord made the
sun go back ten steps Vs 11.

6. In the day of Jesus Christ, Matthew 27: 45 -53

When Jesus was on the cross there was an eclipse from midday to three o‘clock. And when
Jesus cried in a loud voice to the Father, the temple curtain was torn into two from top to
bottom. The earth shook, rocks split and tombs broke open

Matthew 27: 45-53 and the dead came out alive.

We should expect things to happen when we pray into the heavens Acts 2:17-21, Isaiah 24:21-
23, Hosea 2:21-23.

Praying into the heavens

God will use the words of our mouths to make His decrees and to come to pass. We can
exercise our power in the spirit realm , Isaiah 51:15-16. He has covered us with His shadow. The
Hand of the Lord planted the heavens. Whenever the Lord God introduces Himself with a name,
He is telling you what He is going to do. The Lord will train us how to fight Isaiah 51:16, 52: 1-2.
God is raising a company of people He will use to deal with the sheet that covers the nations
Isaiah 25:6-8.

Deal with agreements: It is on account of agreements that sorcerers, enchanters, diviners and
witches begin to take hold of our lives. We can judge, terminate and cut off those covenants.

We also have to learn the life style of those satanic priests. They are very consistent and link up
with astral powers i.e. spirit guides who are fallen angels. They are early risers, night watchers,
very disciplined, meditate in prayer, fast, and have given up certain personal rights. Satanic
underground agents do not sleep nor do they eat anything except blood and human brains.
They respond to demands Satan has made to them e.g. not to eat certain foods, sacrifices to be
made e.t.c.

We have to be serious with our salvation. The heavens are going to be taken by the highest
bidder.

If we are going to be effective we need to wake up early before dawn and do Bible meditation
and God will use the words of our mouths to make His decrees and to come to pass.

# Ask the blood of Jesus to wipe out the decrees, which have been written on your behalf and
break the covenants. Jesus‘ blood speaks of better things Hebrews 12:24 so wipe out all the
handwritings of Satan.

# Retrench the satanic priesthood. Learn not to be afraid of the devil because he magnifies
himself and develop holy anger, intolerance, violence and hatred towards the devil.

# Claim back what the devil has stolen, undo what he has done, retrieve what he has stolen and
reconcile your property back to the Lord.

Devil missions on Christmas

1. Immorarity increases, the devil releases forces to compel people To fornicate. Lodges fully
booked and hotels for fornication. Eph 5,

2. Debts, for no proper reason just for consumption. Extravagancy. January people are under
pressure and cannot concentrate. Many people will be in serious problems.

3. Divorce , many families divorce on christmas. Mat 19:6.

4. Unwanted pregnances., abortions, bloodshed for sacrifices.

5. Accidents, organised accidents, agents have transport companies to

cause accidents , they drive to cause accidents.

6. Sexual transmitted diseases, STDs ,

7.sexually transmitted demons, you will meet people who are not human

beings, fallen angels. Lots of spiritual dark transactions that take place on this day.

8. Drunkenness, lives lost carelessly on this day, disappointments on this day.

9. their will be fights everywhere.

10. Souls trapped by forces of darkness.

11. Many people initiated into the dark world during this season

12. Many destinies stolen by the devil during this time.

13. Many souls sold to the devil.

14. This is a period when watchmen are off guard, very little or no prayer is harvested during
this time. Many battles are lost to the devil during this time. Many evil altars are activated. The
atmosphere is charged with evil. Satanic agents are hipper-active directing events.

15. Many are intriduced into drugs and there is rampant drug abuse during this time.

Why you must not celebrate Halloween

1. Origin of Halloween is demonic. Started by satanic agents. Rom 11:16; it is a pagan practice.
Its genesis is demonic. They do it so that the demons could not attact them. They are looking
like them. But in doing that they are initiating themselves into witchcraft. This is a time devil
agents , satan and fallen angels the world over gather underground marking the end of yheir
year. Evaluating their progress, giving reports, releasing curses on nations, the church , families
and individuals, release of new strategies to attack the church and the world, etc.

2. It is a wittchcraft practice. It is full of witchcraft activities. Very scary. It is not of God.

3. Its not of God has not been redeemed by God. Christians must not copy the ways of the
world. Its worship of satan.

4. Its confirmed to demonic culture. Anything the world is doing need examination.
5. Halloween promotes values which are contrary to christian values or faith. Halloween
activities are full of fear. They celebrate fear. All their atire and collections are full of fear.

6. Things of Halloween are full of darkness. We are chn of light. We believe on the cross.
Halloween is having fellowship with unfruitful works of darkness. Eph 5

7. Activities done do not honor God. Dressing like demons, 1 Jn 5:15-17

8. High crime rate on Halloween day. The power of darkness possesses these people and the
end up doing terrible things.

Valentine's Day 14th of February.

Participating in Valentine's day is making a covenant with the devil.

Red colour - world wide blood shed. Black is the color of the underworld what it is.

Origin of Valentine's day.

We have the problem of copy and paste. Dress, talking, decorations in church , walking styles.
And everything. People don't come to church to be entertained. The world must copy from the
church not vice versa. We have no authority to transform the world if look like them. We are
the light of the world.

There are days that the world celebrates but the origin is demonic. The devil deploy fallen
angels that will be sleeping with people and satanic agents everywhere. So some of the people
you will meet on the streets, beaches, hotels, lodges and other places are not human beings

Transactions that takes place on this day.

1. People will contract STD, sexual transmitted demons. This transaction happens when you
sleep with demonic agents and fallen angels.

2. There will be unwanted Pregnancies from fallen angels and agents, this cannot be blocked by
any method, even condoms. Condoms are too thin for spiritual laws. Very may people are going
to conceive.

3. Then people will commit abortions and its the devil who will benefit from this bloodshed.
3. By participating in valentine it will weaken you spiritually. Prayer life will be destroyed.

4. Valentine was a devil who served the devil faithfully. Once you participate you have honored
Valentine and his master the devil. Missions, immorality, divorce, sacrifices through sex,
destroying relationships , destroying families.

5. When he died, he was loved so much by the devil. His burial was chosen to be on 14th of
February.

6. Colours red and black were chosen to be put on this day. The colours of the devil are black
and red, underworld colours so these colours where chosen on his burial in honor of Valentine
and the devil. So they did put on red and black. Black is what the kingdom of darkness is. Red,
because they shed blood . The satanic flag is red and black.

7. 14th of February important, every 14th of February they bring back his spirit and all fallen
angels and demons come on earth to do the things that Valentine was doing on earth. They
release agents, fallen angels to cause divorce, break relationships, unwanted pregnancies, STDs,
sexual transmitted diseases.

7. This day is the day of the devil's love for his faithful agent. When you participate in this thing
you are covenanting with the devil. Christians should not participate in this day. Satanic Agents
also sale flowers that have been dedicated to the devil on satanic altars and you open yourself
to monitoring spirits. This day is demonic. Let's not wait for the 14th only to show love to our
wives or or loved ones. Why wait for this worldly day,...? Most gifts cherished are flowers and
must contain red colours. This is not love but the love that the devil had with his agent. We
must love everyday. The devil is using ignorance of christians. If you don't have a physical
person you wiil have the devil with you. Many people don't want to be left out.

Romans 12:1-2

[1]I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to
make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a
living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your
reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.

[2]Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external,
superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by
its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good
and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and
perfect [in His sight for you].
Don't give yourself time with the devil but rather spend time with Jesus. Don't delay yourself by
joining and covenanting with the devil.

Prayer Direction:

* Ask God to open our eyes to understand the gates of time and seasons. Pray that the body of
Christ will also teach this lesson.

* Pray for our city that God will deliver it from Satan‘s strategies.

* Ask God to scatter those who delight in war and manipulation.

* Ask God to give you boldness to receive and speak His word Let Him teach us to use the
words He has given us Isaiah 51:16.

* Ask God to give us grace to lay new foundations, to give us open heavens Isaiah 51:9. Call the
arm of the Lord to awaken and lay bare our land and the nations will see it.

* Pray for personal disciplines – prayer, fasting, meditation, studying the word and worship
Psalm 119:148.

* Ask God to give us grace for a season of tears for our lives Psalm 126.

* Ask God to restore us so that our painful situations turn into a time of crying out to God.
