Third subject (SP or FET): Please note that the teaching practice period must take
place over three consecutive weeks, or 15 school days, during the period
8 April to 23 May 2025. The period excludes public holidays and days when the school
is closed.
Summarised school requirements when hosting a student teacher for teacher practice
include:
placing the student with experienced and qualified teachers as mentors in their SP
and FET subjects;
allowing the student to observe lessons, assist the teachers where possible, and
prepare and present lessons and activities;
observing and assessing four formal lessons presented by the student on the
provided lesson assessment forms;
completing the Attendance Register and the Final School Feedback Form; and
modelling passion and professionalism while prioritising the needs of all learners.
