SYLLABUS FOR PRE-CONFIRMATION SEMINAR

FORMATION FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION

1. At the end of the formation the confirmand shall be able to:
- Understand the Seven Sacraments clearly and explicitly
- Comprehend the Sacraments channels of graces
- Become fully aware that the Sacraments are visible and outward signs of God’s Presence that confer grace
- Assimilate that the sacraments are celebration of life in the Church
- Comprehend that the sacrament is the Presence of Jesus in the Church.
- Become fully aware that the Sacrament of confirmation is the maturity of faith and becoming responsible and committed Christians
- Understand that the seven sacraments are visible and outward sign of the invisible grace instituted by Christ
- Identify that Jesus is the original Sacrament or Sign of God’s love for us
- Become more conscious that Confirmation complete Baptism by helping the confirmed to become adult witnesses to Christ.
- Participate actively in the Holy Mass and parish activities after the reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation.
