Interpretation of Data

from 9,994 customers.
• Highest profit generating segment includes the Consumers followed by
Corporate.
2. Category Analysis
• The highest sales are from the Technology category (36.40%), followed by
Furniture (32.30%) and Office Supplies (31.30%).
• However, profits are skewed, with Technology and Office Supplies contributing
more to profitability compared to Furniture.
3. Regional Analysis
• The West and East region has strong sales across categories, while the South region
shows lower performance.
4. City-Wise Sales Insights
• Jacksonville City is the top-performing city, contributing significantly to total sales.
• Other key cities include Washington, New York, and others.
5. Temporal Trends
• Sales exhibit a steady upward trend from 2011 to 2014.
• Monthly analyses show seasonal fluctuations.
6. Sub-Category Analysis
• Phones, Chairs, and Storage are the top sub-categories by sales.
• Lower-performing sub-categories include Labels and Fasteners.
• Copiers, Phones and Accessories are the top sub-categories by profits.
Recommendations
• Optimize marketing and inventory for top-performing categories.
• Focus on improving sales in the Central and South regions.

Q.2 Airbnb Property Performance Analysis
Interpretation of Data
1. Room Type Distribution:
• The first dashboard’s pie chart shows the distribution of room types: Entire
home/apt: 55.86% ▪Private room: 41.3% ▪ Shared room: 2.77%
• The majority of listings are entire homes/apartments, indicating a preference for
exclusive properties.
2. Neighbourhood-Wise Analysis:
• The bar chart illustrates the count of listings by neighbourhood: ▪ Manhattan has
the highest number of listings, followed by Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, and Staten
Island.
• Prices are generally highest in Manhattan, reflecting its premium location.
3. Property Type Distribution:
• The bar chart showing average price by property type indicates: ▪ High-end
properties like Villas, Condominiums, Townhouses, and Lofts are priced
significantly higher.
• Unique listings like Hut and Lighthouse are available but less common.
4. Room Type & Property Type Analysis by Neighbourhood:
• The stacked bar chart in the second dashboard visualizes room and property types
within neighbourhoods: ▪ Manhattan and Brooklyn have a higher proportion of
entire homes/apartments and private rooms.
5. Review Scores & Experience Analysis:
• The line chart highlights that listings with higher review scores receive more
reviews, reflecting guest satisfaction.
• Host with an average of 12-14 years of experience has received more ratings than
host with less or more years of experience.
• Listings which fall under Low review category are having a high average price for
its properties.
Recommendations
• Listings with low review ratings should reconsider their price range and services to
provide a better customer experience.
• Airbnb should strategically expand in Bronx and Staten Island in future.
Q.3 Amazon Sales Dashboard
Interpretation of Data
1. Sales Performance Analysis
• Amazon achieved a total sale of 76.03M for a total of 116k quantity sold.
• Most of the quantity sold belonged to Set (38.83%), followed by Kurta (38.61%)
and Western Dresses (11.97%).
• Sales were highest in the month of April (2.78 CR) followed by May (2.53 CR).
2. Geographical Analysis
• Maharashtra has the highest number of sales at 1.29 CR followed by Karnataka at
1.02 CR.
• Punjab and Orissa are the least revenue generating states.
3. Customer Segment Analysis
• Mid-Value customers bring the highest number of sales i.e. 5.19 CR.
Recommendations
• Least performing products like saree and dupta can be amplified by bringing more
patterns and price ranges that are acceptable by customers.
• Discounts or special offers can be made to low and high value customers to generate
revenue.
• Inventory should be optimised for top performing categories and seasonal offers
can be applied to generate sales in other months of a year.
